Kingston DataTraveler 150 64 GB USB Drive - ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!

Kingston USB drives are the most dependable USB drives available. Kingston provides the best warranty for any USB drives, 5 years; you cannot get a better product warranty on a USB drive than that! San Disk offers a two year warranty and all others offer at most a one year warranty.

The Kingston DataTraveler 150 64 GB USB drive has great capacity, great speed, and it is compatible with all computers. I have copied large files and small files without any problems/glitches, and I have saved a variety of file types on this drive without any problems. The drive loads well and, as with all USB drives, when properly ejected (you should always properly eject!) will continue to serve you long after the warranty period ends. Please remember that if you want to protect your files/information, you should ALWAYS properly eject your devices rather than just pulling them out of the USB port; this is recommended by ALL manufacturers of USB drives.

Beware of counterfeits. Kingston has a web site that you can use to verify the authenticity of Kingston USB drives, [...]. Kingston will send you an email confirming the authenticity of your USB or informing you that you purchased a fake. Kingston DataTraveler 150 USB drives have authenticity codes etched on the USB connector: if your drive does not have such codes on its USB connector this indicates that you have a fake.

In light of the makers of replicas/fakes, you must monitor the price. A low price offered by one seller in comparison to comparable prices offered by all others indicates that the seller offering the excessively low prices has replica/fakes. Remember that you get what you pay for: an authentic Kingston DataTraveler will serve you well and be with the money, and a replica/fake is a waste of your money.

Another indicator that you may have a fake is the construction of your drive.
The construction of an authentic Kingston DataTraveler 150 is great: the drive is solidly built and no parts are loose or feel flimsy. The drive has a cap to protect the USB connector, and the cap fits nicely/snugly on the back end of the drive so that you will not lose it.

As with other Kingston USB drives, this drive has an indicator light, blue for the Kingston DataTraveler 150 64 GB USB drive, to help you to know when your computer is reading/accessing files on the drive.

I have NEVER been disappointed by a Kingston DataTraveler and I highly recommend the Kingston DataTraveler 150 64 GB USB. I own four DataTraveler 150 64 GB USB drives and except for a couple San Disk USB drives that I purchased on sale (with store coupons), I have exclusively purchased Kingston USB DataTravelers (of various models and capacities) for the past 5+ years. Every Kingston USB that I own has served me well and continues to do so today. Kingston DataTravelers are dependable, durable, and simply THE BEST USB FLASH DRIVES ON THE MARKET.

All my prior USB flash drives were 8 GB or smaller. I was looking for a 16 or 32 GB drive, and saw that this 64 GB drive was in my price range.

It works with my Dell desktop PC's running Windows XP Home, Windows Vista 32 bit, and Windows 7 beta 32 and 64 bit.

The drive comes pre-formatted with a FAT file system, which is good, as Windows no longer allows large drives to be formatted to FAT.

It isn't exactly the fastest flash drive in the west, but it is one of the largest affordable drives. The physical size is no larger than typical 2, 4 or 8 GB USB flash drives.

If you need a lot of space in an easily portable drive, you could do a lot worse than the Kingston Technology DT150/64GB 64GB DataTraveler 150 USB 2.0 Flash Drive.

It can't be used to speed up Windows Vista or Windows 7 like some other USB flash drives. It doesn't do readyboost. Only purchase this for a lot of storage at a reasonable price.

It holds backups of my personal files, in the event of a drive failure or accidental deletion. This is the first drive which can hold my large music and video library.

I'm very pleased with this drive and with Amazon's quick delivery.

I have using this flash drive for a year in my BMW 335 USB drive interface with no working problems and achieve a very fast data transfer rate. The only issue is that it's a little bit longer than other flash drives, so I have to cut a 3mm slice at the very top of the unit to let fix under the arm rest of my car and plug the device in the vertical usb port. I don't understand why Kingston did this unit so long because all the electronic board inside are much shorter than the case. But anyway a very nice high capacity device at an attractive price.

It's more than most could ask for! You have 64 GBs. in a key chain size package. It's a flash drive so that means no moving parts to mess up your day if things go wrong. I love it!! Looking back to my first PC , I thought a 4 GB. hard drive was more than enough, and that was pretty much correct, for the time. Today, at this price, you can carry 64 GB's in your pocket!! That's HUGE! I have no complaints AT ALL about this purchase! Made by a very reputable manufacturer, I don't see how you can go wrong!

a USB drive or a USB park?

Bought this an archive for a laptop with limited onboard disk. What a disappointment. First I had to reformat it from FAT to NTFS because it couldn't handle folders with many files. Not that there was any kind of warning, it just kept failing after copying a certain number of files. Eventually I figured it out from web searching that there was a file limit. After reformatting, copying 5 GB of data took several nights. Yes, not minutes, not hours, but several nights. Fine, I thought, I'm just going to read it, writing is a one time operation. So the day comes when I want to read something from the archive. The drive comes up dead. Two different PCs say it is an unformatted drive. It read fine after I wrote it, but sitting on a shelf a couple of months was apparently enough to kill it. Glad I had a less portable archive also made. Hard to see how this can be considered anything but a piece of junk.

very annoying when this does not work in most systems after a couple of minutes. the only thing it ever worked in was my laptop. every other machine and OS i tried just got me very angry as it would be seen and i could start transfering data over, for a few seconds or a minute. it would then disappear from whichever machine i was using. using several different operating systems on a few machines had the same result. so now it never gets used.

Das Gehäuse ist stabil, die Kappe leider nicht mit einem Band oder ähnlichem daran festgemacht auch das Loch für einen Ring / Befestigung ist ziemlich klein. Schade, daß viele Hersteller bei diesen Details versagen.

Der Speed ist oke, ich verwende den Stick als Datensafe via TrueCrypt und bin sehr zufrieden damit.

Natürlich dauert das Kopieren vieler Dateien (insbesondere bei Verschlüsselung) ewig. Das liegt einfach am Medium und an der Menge. Wer wirklich große Datenmengen schnell sichern will, sollte sich lieber eine portable 2,5"-Festplatte holen. Die ist dann sogar billiger, bietet mehr Platz und ist schneller - allerdings auch wesentlich größer.

Es hat mich sehr gereizt, einen Stick mit 64 GB zu haben, auf den ich Unmengen von Musik oder eben eine ganze ebook-Bibliothek hätte aufspielen können. Nun ist es aber so, daß an meinem Computer schon sehr viele USB-Geräte laufen und ich mit etlichen Hubs arbeite. Daran den Stick anzuschließen, geht nicht bei mir, weil es dann wohl bei der Stromversorgung hapert oder weil der Compi die ganzen USB-Infos nicht ver- und auswerten kann. Mit einem 32 GB-Stick kann man aber ohne Vorbehalte vorzüglich arbeiten. Und das tue ich denn auch ...
