Top Customer Reviews
1. High heat, no steam.
2. I put aluminum foil between the iron and the label, and beneath the fabric and the table.
3. Do not move the iron back and forth (as you would do when ironing a garment to remove wrinkles). Press the hot iron down, hold for ten seconds.
4. Wait a few minutes and press the hot iron down again, holding for ten seconds.
But they do not seem to stick to themselves -- see attached before & after pics of power strip cord labels I tried to make (using the "hyper yellow" plastic labels). I made sure to pinch the labels around the cords tightly to ensure adhesion... but only 24 hours later in the "after" picture, they were in various states of coming apart. This is the 3rd time I tried the same thing so I thought I'd take pics to share. Buyer beware.
Mostly it's frustrating because I like my LetraTag labeler, but the labels themselves have really weak adhesive. I haven't had luck with the paper labels either, which tend to unfurl at the corners when applied to folders, boxes, etc.
Quality prints and easy to read.
The stickiness is questionable.
I even cleaned all the plastic surfaces with alcohol and after about a week or two some of the labels have begun to curl up and unstick. Not sure how I feel about that as the time investment was substantial. Cleaning, Making and placing each label takes a good amount of time. Which is also the reason I gave 3 stars, when they pull up with no help from me or the environment.
Maybe I got a bad batch or they where stored in a hot environment Causing poor adhesion prior to my use? No idea?!
They do look great however and I LOVE the idea.
And of course, be sure you have the label gun, to print these properly.
The plastic tape really holds up for this use, as the paper tape can get torn off. Great product that makes life a little easier in tech environments, geeky households, and just life in general.
