We've had this cooktop for a month now, and really love it. Lot's of BTU's, and nice features. The one piece burner pan has a surface that is much easier to clean than the standard stanless steel surfaces that most cooktops have, and it does not scratch like stainless. The front panel where the knobs are is still stainless, to give it the beautiful look of stainless.

After looking at many cooktops, we chose this one mainly for it's good looks, and I think we made a great choice.

We purchased this cook top as a replacement for a similar model from Maytag which lasted just under four years. This cook top is far superior in my judgement. Easy to clean with lots of heat settings from simmer to high heat. The center burner can bring a large pot of water to boil quickly. Made in USA is a huge bonus. We will see how it hold up over time.

This stove is great in many aspects. The look, the power, the position of the power burner...But the most impressive part is the perma-clean surface. It is so easy to clean with just a damb cloth. If you treat it like the non-sticking surface of your frying pan, it would last forever. My wife spilled some grease when using the power burner and the stain was too strong to be removed by a wet cloth, but after I applied some degreaser on it, the surface looked clean again just like a brand-new stove.

I have previously had a VERY negative review of this product posted. It turned out that the problem was of my OWN making! I had the polarity of the electrical power feed reversed...and this caused the igniters to continually "pop-pop-pop". I switched the polarity and VOILA! The stove has performed FLAWLESSLY ever since! We LOVE this stove!

I've had this cooktop for over a year now, and totally regret buying it. The metal parts that make up the surface of this cooktop suffer major issues (starting from the top):
Grating: Rusts very easily and must be strictly cleaned and maintained, the good news though is that it is actually possible to clean...
The Ceramic burner tops: easily stained, but with some amount of serious elbow grease it's still actually possible to clean...
The metal ring parts of the burners: Literally impossible to clean... God help you if you miss cleaning a few drops of food/water/grease on these immediately after use, the stains are utterly impossible to remove without SANDPAPER, I've worked on these for hours prior to resorting to sandpaper.. even tried exotic steps like using WD40 on them... Oh and don't try to put them in the dishwasher... they will turn black... permanently... god knows why... (thank god I only did one of these as a test-case)
The "Permaclean" surface: Again, this works ok if you catch a spill immediately, I've had to take a plastic spatula and vigorously SCRAPE while adding water/soap/cleanser for 60+ minutes to get dried grease off this surface...

Honestly the whole thing practically seems DESIGNED to be an expensive hard to clean trap. Don't buy this.

The range works okay, but 3 out of 5 blue indicator lights stop working after few weeks of installation, under very light home cooking, and I did not pay attention if it worked at a first place, but it is a disappointment at this price range.

One of the main reason that I bought this unit was that the knobs were made of metal, but it gets very hot to touch after less than an hour of cooking, which is a surprise to me. At this rate of heat transfer, plastic knobs would not last. Is it because the burners design? I don't know.

The knobs placement is not intuitively either, except the center one. I still have to pause to figure out which knob to turn after 3 months.
