Her characters are real. Identifiable. And I was drawn into Merit’s struggle and Amalia’s dilemma. How like life…we set our course and never expect to deviate, but God delights in challenging and teaching us through the unexpected twists and turns He allows. Wonderful story. Wish I could give it more than five stars!
The h's trashy room mate gets pregnant and the h decides to find her a baby daddy. Apparently the friend is drop dead gorgeous with a great job but doesn't have great taste in boyfriends and the baby's father, an unemployed actor, has disappeared. The H lives in the same building as the h and has decided she's the perfect, mousy type to take back to a wedding in his small hometown in Minnesota, to impress his old, frail father figure with old school ideas. In the meanwhile the H thinks the h is pregnant and decides to pay her to go with him to the wedding but she insists on taking the trashy friend as a chaperone. The whole time the h is trying to set the H up with the pregnant (did I mention trashy?) girlfriend and even lets the H think that she is the pregnant one. It just goes on and on and I just got fed up with it. No sane woman, attracted to a guy, would sacrifice a decent relationship for said trashy friend who didn't want him anyway.
I will never get the time back that I spent on this book.
