My only gripe is that the Prussian Blue in the set (it's my absolute favorite color) was super weak. I'm certain it's a little defect, possibly only affecting my specific set, but it doesn't activate (is that the correct word?) quite right. The cake doesn't soften into that creamy textures once I add water. I even used a stiff scrubber brush. No dice. It remains rigid, and I can't get it to look like Prussian Blue on paper even with multiple layers. I may cut the cake in half and see what happens in the middle of the cake or try to crumble and salvage it somehow. I don't know.
Overall, great. I'm just so so disappointed that my favorite color was defective!!
They include a wide variety of paints. You also get little clear sheet that include what the colors look like and their names. It's helpful, because some of the darks look like they could be black, but they're really blues and reds, haha! The variety, is wonderful. They give you four kinda of blue, and even a purple! To my disappointment there's only one orange which kinda sucks because orange is seriously a very hard color to mix, for me, anyways.
These paints kid quite well, and I the mixing palletes are small, but still quite useful for mixing. I don't recommend leaving water in the pallete, haha!
The little brush that they give you, while tiny, is wonderful to useful, which is surprising because usually the brushes suck in travel kits.
The metal casing is sturdy and beautiful.
I've added some pictures to to show what it looks like and how it compares to the average pen. :)
Either way, this paint set is perfect for travel and I love using it with my Mudder Watercolor pens.
A vast improvement with a vast different and vibrancy than my previous Reeves paints! :D
