Knowing he needs help he hires a nanny, Margot Vimyridge, to help him while he is at work. But the Canadian is not what he expects at all.
When Henry's girlfriend, Aayana, decides she wants to be involved after all will it be too late? Will Henry discover the secret that Margot is hiding? Will they find Mora's parents?
This was another awesome and quick read by the author!
I loved Henry and how much he felt like he needed to help baby Mora regardless of what anyone else thought. I was surprised but not so with the reaction from Aayana as she was obviously not expecting Henry to do what he did.
I loved Henry meeting Margot and how shocked he was. Too funny!! It was obvious there would be some "sexual tension" in the air as it makes perfect sense in close comfort!
I was definitely surprised at the secret and then the huge restaurant scene made me so mad!! I was thankful that Henry found her in time after the home scene! No spoilers! Lol!
Loved it and can't wait for the next one!
It is a book that you do not want to miss!
I voluntarily submitted an ARC review for this book!
This was the fourth book I've read by Jackie Wang and I've enjoyed all of them. She has this way with her writing that pulls you in and keeps you engrossed from the first page to the very last one. Her descriptions are near-perfect, so when reading, you get the feeling that you’re there with the characters; a talent that I absolutely love in an author but have found to be lacking in books lately.
Henry Livingstone is a 28-year-old firefighter who risks his life to save a baby girl and decides to foster her, much to the dismay of his girlfriend. When he has no help taking care of the child he names Mora, he advertises for a roommate/nanny. Enter the heroine. Margot Vimyridge is 21 and I liked her from the onset. She’s petite, or ‘fun-sized’ as Henry calls her, smart, kind, and extremely likeable. A world traveler, which made me jealous, nothing gets her down, and life has thrown a lot at this poor girl.
This book was a quick read that made me laugh (baby translator, anyone?), had drama that made me cringe, and contained a steamy sex scene. Just a head's up, this is an insta-love novella, so if you don't enjoy those, this may not be the book for you; if you do, pick it up! While I usually don’t care for insta-love books, I’ve read a lot of dark books (and textbooks) lately and a quick HEA was just what I needed!
Due to his shifts and finances he advertises for a live in nanny and Margot applies. Although she is much younger than he expected she is great with Mora and has an optimism that makes those around her happy however there is one little detail she hasn’t told Henry.
I loved the characters as Margo always sees the good in everything and everyone and Henry’s willingness to take in a child he doesn’t know tells you the kind of man he is. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Henry Livingstone is a firefighter and one night while responding to a fire he hears a baby. He rescued the baby and ended up taking the baby home and fostering her. His girlfriend does not like the idea and she leaves him until he gets rid of the baby. He realises that he needs help and he hires Margot Vimyridge as a nanny. When Henry first meets Margot she is not what he expected. He watches the way she is with the baby and starts to have feelings for her. What happens when he starts to have these feelings? Does he give in and fall for her? Read to find out.
