And this story gets more and more exciting as it continues. The action. The suspense. The betrayal. It all adds up to make one heck of a steamy, dark romance that will make you happy by the end. What a ride this author takes you on with each page you turn!!
I absolutely loved this book and the way the author intertwines all the different parts that have created the deception and suspense in this story. The key players make their appearance and you learn so much more behind Stefan and Gabi.
You also get to see all the different sides of Stefan and you fall more in love (maybe lust) with him. He turns up the romance and steaminess, and starts to see he needs to cherish what is in front of him. He shows true emotion in this book that you didn’t see in the precious book.
Gabi is a well-loved character. Thrown into a situation she can’t control, she doesn’t know who to trust. She struggles greatly and I completely understood her feelings and decisions. She ultimately stands up for Stefan, even though she’s not sure she should.
This is an epic tale of forbidden, forced marriage that turns into so much more. Fall in love with these 2 today and enjoy this wild, twisted, steamy ride of Stefan, Gabi and all the other amazing characters!!
At the end of Collateral we were left hanging in a big way, Gabriella has jus lost one of the most important people in her life. She had started to trust Stefan but now she is no so sure who's her back any more. So she calls the one person that she should be able to trust, even if she knows not too. We are left wondering who took Gabriel and if Stefan will not only find her in time and in one piece, but what will happen between the two of them when he does. She is not sure if she can trust him, she knows that he is a monster, but she also sees a side of him the gives her hope, that maybe there is more to this man than what most people see. Stefan definitely has his moments where he shows compassion, shows that he cares. until things go wrong and he turns back into that monster that you don't know whether to trust him or not. there is no doubt that these two are falling for each other. But can a marriage the was forced from the beginning, combined with the lack of trust really work out in the end?
I loved this book!! I enjoyed the first book but this one I absolutely loved. I was glued to the pages, never wanting it to end. It was a bumpy road, with twist and turns, and emotions running rampant. When it was all over I let out the breath that I didn't not realize I was holding. All I wangle was for Stefan to admit his love for Gabiella but also see that man that she fell for. The one who is comforting. protective and makes her feel safe. Gabriela is one tough girl for all that she has gone through. I loved that regardless of the fact that she was stuck with Stefan for the long haul, she still stayed true to herself. She still fought back ad would still do anything to protect the ones she loves.
Natasha Knight has done it again. Her writing is just so perfect. She writes a mafia romance with just the right amount of dark. Her stories are gritty and intense. You find yourself loving characters that you shouldn't, but you just do.
Just a side note, I am very intrigued with Rafa and I would love to see more of his character. There is also one part of this story involving another character that I still want to understand...lol. But at the same time I am not sure I want to know. Another fantastic read from Ms. Knight.
Top international reviews
It got a bit gritty and I almost believed that Stefan was starting to catch a case of the feelings for Gabriella but it didn't take long for me to be disabused of that notion.
He may be protective of Gabriella when it comes to anyone else, but it doesn't include him apparently unless slamming your wife into walls with a hand at her throat is considered protective nowadays...
Then there was lying. So much lying. And distrust. And insanity.
It went from a little bit twisted to toppling right down the rabbit hole into crazy land.
I'd had enough before I even got a third of the way through this book but I'm a horrible person to myself sometimes and rather than DNFing I finished it.
Just because I was curious and, weirdly, because I kept waiting for it to get better!
And it didn't.
So, needless to say, I don't recommend.
Stefan's cousin Rafa is his most trusted confidant and yet suddenly he has started to act a little strangely around him and he is also not sure that Gabriella is not hiding something she knows but she is stubborn and he knows that if he pushes too hard he will never retrieve an answer from her.
Gabriella has lost another person that she loves and simply because he had tried to help her and for that he had suffered greatly and even that had not been sufficient, someone had decided to set the house on fire with both him and his aunt inside, how did she manage to go on she did not know if it wasn't for Gabe she probably would have simply given up .
There is a traitor in their midst and when Stefan discovers the culprit he or she will pay dearly, he has to admit that even though she was supposed to be nothing more than an asset he has started to fall in love with her and the thought of anyone hurting her is more than he can stand....
Stefan and Gabi are a couple who will stay with me for some time. Two must read books for anyone who enjoys an emotional roller-coaster thrilling love story.
I loved how Stefan changed where it mattered, but never yielded fully. I loved how Gabi never gave up the fight, even when all felt hopeless. I loved seeing their relationship change & grow without losing its edginess.
Just a truly fantastic second book in this spectacular duet
It had more twists and turns than a helter skelter...
Thank you once again Natasha Knight ..xxx
The tone of Damage is still dark, and the couple actually as sex in this book! Gasp!
There were times that I felt like Gabriela was too stupid to live. In her defence, she is very young – just 18 – and in completely surreal circumstances. So I tried to remember that and it felt me sink back into the story.
Overall I enjoyed it and was happy with where the author leaves off this couple, but I felt really poorly for a couple of secondary characters. I seriously hope that poor cousin Rafe one day gets to be the hero of his own story.
