"This series is completely original and it turns the genre on its head with a bit of a nudge back towards the horror end of the spectrum. Honestly, it's brutal in parts and difficult to read at times....and it's completely brilliant."
"It had a lot of zombie action, but also had this storyline that had romance and heartbreak mixed in... What I loved the most though, was the emotional journey that I wasn't expecting. It was beautifully woven into the zombie apocalypse and left me unable to put the book down."

The writing is great and leaves you hanging on for what's next, with scenes like this:
Mario nodded. “as long as we’re fessing up, he also repels zombies, which we’ve never seen before. “
“Oh come on, “ Doug said. “You’re killing me here! Why don’t you tell them all our secrets?”
“Better now than later, “ Mario said to him. .... “The truth about me is a little more complicated than everyone has been led to believe.”
The truth, the defenses of LO, and the relationships between characters all prove to be complicated and engrossing. The final chapter of Damage in an Undead Age leaves readers waiting for the future adventures of the swaggering trio in the upcoming final book of the Undead Age series.
I loved the adventure that Damage in an Undead Age took me on! I enjoyed the new characters that were introduced and the twists created by their addition to the story! What I loved the most though, was the emotional journey that I wasn’t expecting. It was beautifully woven into the zombie apocalypse and left me unable to put the book down.
Damage in an Undead Age picks up just after book 1, Love in an Undead Age. The group has escaped on a boat and is healing from their injuries. They have Jeremiah, the crazy man that is immune to zombies, safely secured as they sail to their next destination in hopes of finding help to create a vaccine.
Unfortunately, help isn’t there and they must move on. Their next stop does have a lab where they can set up to start working on the vaccine. It turns out that they are not alone though. They’ll soon discover zombies aren’t the only dangerous thing around them.
How I Felt:
Damage in an Undead Age was so much more than a post-apocalyptic zombie story! The characters each have their own internal struggles that created such an emotional roller-coaster!
The plot was so exciting! It had a lot of zombie action, but also had this storyline that had romance and heartbreak mixed in. I was so impressed with A.M. Geever’s ability to write this beautiful story that had me gripped from page one!
The characters feel so real. The flaws that were added to each character gave them depth and made me connect to them. Miranda has struggles that she continues to work to overcome, and in the middle of that, she is hit with new events in her life that change everything she thought she knew about herself. I really enjoyed her character arc.
We are also introduced to a new character, Skye, and I loved her. I was in love with her romance storyline. It felt just right and had a lovely build-up.
Overall, I was blown away by this story. I loved every word on every page. I really hope there is a third book because this story has so much more to tell!
Abortion, pregnancy and loss, rape, abuse, self-harm through cutting, use of C-word in one instance.
To Read or Not To Read:
I would recommend Damage in an Undead Age to readers that enjoy a story about zombies, but also a story following a character’s emotional journey.
If you haven’t read the first book in this series, Love in an Undead Age, I highly recommend that you start there. It provides a ton of backstory (and it’s a great book)!
I was provided a gifted copy of this book for free. I am leaving my review voluntarily.

This new book of the Undead series is at the same time scary, funny, sweet...it's well written, and easy to read, you just can't stop until you reach the very end.
I won't say too much, not to spoil anyone's pleasure there, but you can really go and buy this book with no hesitation. I recommend it to zombie lovers, romance lovers, humor lovers, apocalypse lovers (if there's such a category of people out there), well, I just recommend it to everyone !
