To Dance Again Paperback – December 11, 2015
"To Dance Again" is a refreshing, mature romantic tale! The strong heroine is a delight and has always tried to do the right thing, although compromising her own happiness most of the time. Once she reveals her past and realizes her daughter needs to know the truth, the story is a fast-paced and an enjoyable read. The past hurts and current medical issues of the hero add another dynamic to the plot that brings the story full circle. Although a bit predictable and overuse of the reference that Maricel has to return to the States, it's a wonderful cultural read that discusses delicate family matters with taste and dignity. Food, wine and music with dancing are an added bonus." 5 STARS IN'D TALE Magazine
"I'm such a sucker for second chance romance. Throw in that the couple are older and I'm a goner. I adored this book. Well written, smexy times and characters that I could care about.
The romance in the book was top-notch. It was a grown up love that had endured throughout the years. There isn't much angst in the book except the secrets between them. While they added conflict, it wasn't done over the top and it felt very real to me.
I highly recommend this book for all you lovers of second changes with an older couple. Ms. Ramon delivers in all aspects of the book. Writing, characters, plot and especially setting. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Roman." 4.5 STARS Harlie's Reviews
From the Author
The heroine's central conflict grew out of my musings as to what might happen to two young sweethearts who are separated by a thousand miles and their parents' wishes. In that sense, the story is a modern-day Romeo and Juliet, but not so acrimonious. They continue with their lives and then twenty-seven years later, when they're both single again, they are reunited but with a life-altering secret between them. This scenario so intrigued me that I had to explore the story and flesh it out.
This book is all about secrets, learning to trust again, and a second chance at love. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Maricel has decided to return to Puerto Rico in silent hope of seeing her teenage love. She enjoys her visit with family relatives and starts asking questions. Ramon never knew about her pregnancy when her family forced her to move to New Jersey. And now she has told her daughter, Isabel, about her real birth father who is anxious to meet him. But soon she will find that Ramon has a secret of his own, which can be life changing for all those concerned.
Hebby Roman has again brought us the flavors of the culture and surroundings of the characters. Easy to visualize, the countryside, the food, the markets all come to life giving the reader a very satisfying journey to solve the mystery of secrets and hope for the future. This is a fast read and enjoyable story of middle aged love.
Lovers reunited after so many years apart should spell a true, over the top, romantic read.
You know the type. The thin books you caught your mom or grandma reading. Pages turned so much the book looks older than it should and several pages have creases from being dog-eared.
This could've been one of those stories if it weren't for the fact I didn't feel a true emotional connection between Maricel and Ramón. For me, I needed more than a brief glimpse to their past.
I also didn't like how late the revelation (you have a child) came about or the timing of it. It was as if the author couldn't figure out when or how to divulge the info and just threw it out there.
For me, this book felt disjointed. I'm sure others will love it. It does have its appeal: sweet union of father/daughter and a HEA.
For me, I just found it lacking.
Reading this book, I felt like I was experience the life and culture of Puerto Rico. I could smell the flowers, and taste the food. But what really captivated me was the story of two people reconnecting after 25 years and discovering the spark between them can rekindle their love.
Ms. Roman’s talented as a storyteller is revealed in this heart-warming tale of overcoming obstacles, time and reconnecting love.
Let me first say that the setting of the book is gorgeous. I’ve always wanted to go to Puerto Rico and I really felt like I was there. The food, smells and the music were all there. Not to mention a hot man named Ramon. What I really liked about him was that while he did have a big secret, he truly did care and love Maricel. He never stopped loving her. It was completely evident in the story. He was just trying to protect her. In fact, when Maricel’s secret came out, I figured that he would be more upset but he was very accepting of it.
Marciel was a joy. Yes, she was still in love with Ramon but find a new love and family back in Jersey. It was easy to relate to her and the conflicted feelings that she had in regards to Ramon and her late husband. I also liked her no-nonsense relationship with her daughter Isabel. Isabel just wanted to know her father and gave her mother some time to figured it all out.
The romance in the book was top-notch. It was a grown up love that had endured throughout the years. There isn’t much angst in the book except the secrets between them. While they added conflict, it wasn’t done over the top and it felt very real to me.

*I received this for the sole purpose of my opinion. My opinion is my own and I was not paid for the review.*
Ramon Morales grew up poor and was seen by Marciel's parents as not good enough for her. Yet he has managed to start his company in real estate and has turned into a millionaire. He was married once but has never forgotten his first love Marciel.
When Marciel and Ramon see each other again both are keeping secrets from each other and they must discover if they still are in love with each other or only with the idea as they have both spend so many years apart. Will the secrets they are keeping from the other ultimately tear them apart?
I really enjoyed this book. I can't imagine keeping a secret for that long and I really don't know if the truth would have come out if Isabel hadn't discovered it for herself. Marciel has to really come to terms with how telling Ramon the truth may cause her to lose him, yet she still holds off telling him.
I felt so bad for Ramon in the book with his illness. I completely understand why he didn't want anyone to know as he never wanted pity from anyone, yet really suffered for it.
I think the book really shows how fate can prepare us for what we need in life and when we need it. As Marciel talks about they would have given up so much for each other when they were younger that they wouldn't be where they are today if they had managed to stay together.
