What a wonderful life lesson for us all: dance like you mean it!
One night while working late, Cassie has an idea - to write a romance novel. She writes at night in secret while her family sleeps. Writing this novel brings Cassie new energy and purpose. As it turns out, the book transforms her life in so many ways. Cassie's romance novel was not what I expected at all. It is way over the top and will make you laugh till you cry.
This is an insightful book with wonderful quotes at the beginning of each chapter. The humor that runs throughout the novel made this book a delight to read.
I enjoyed Dance Like You Mean It by Jeanne Skartsiaris more than I've enjoyed any other book in quite some time. The story follows nurse-turned-writer Cassie Calabria as she struggles to follow her dream while, in the face of marital turmoil, she attempts to maintaining a normal life for her children. It was a light read and was a lot of fun, but at the same time the book touched upon issues all mothers face on a daily basis. Like so many of us, Cassie worked hard to do the best she could for her family all while attempting to do the best she could for herself. Being a mother and a wife doesn't mean we have to give up on our own dreams, and Dance Like You Mean It is a fun story about a woman coming to terms with the idea that she, too, is allowed to chase her dreams and live her life. It was fun to watch Cassie grow and find herself. I enjoyed this one a lot.
