About the Author
Marie (Marler) McGaha is an author, editor, and owner of Dancing With Bear Publishing, a Christian publishing company named in honor of her late husband, Bear. The first addition of this book won 2nd place in the memoir category at Sharp Writ Book Awards sponsored by Mensa. Marie is remarried to Nathan McGaha and couldn't be happier. "Life doesn't always turn out like we think it's supposed to. But as long as we live our lives dependent upon God and a relationship with Jesus Christ, we will become all we can be. And we'll be happy. Even though I never thought of life without Bear, and sometimes still miss him so much, I can't imagine my life without Nathan. God knew who I needed and when, and I will always be thankful to my Lord and Savior for all He has done for me. The Bible says to whom much is forgiven, much is expected -- I will never be able to repay what the Lord has done for me, but I will spend the rest of my life trying," Marie says. Nathan & Marie are members of the OK Patriot Guard Riders, enjoy riding their motorcycles in no particular direction, but seem to wind up at a grandchild's house more often than not. Marie, I have written a book that I gave the title of 'They Walk in and Out of Our Lives'; not aliens from some distant planet, but ordinary people who seemed to be dropped in our lap or on our door step. One of my stories is of my Bill, the love of my life and our dysfunctional first years of our marriage, the hurt I endured and how the same God you serve worked in our lives to bring about change. I tell about many people who literally walked in and out of our lives, after that change happened. Like you, sometimes it seemed we were living in the JFK Airport because so many people ate at our table or slept in our beds. We moved a lot too.
There was just so much in your book, that I could have written it. Our lives, Marie, are mirror images and I could not put your book down. I laughed some and cried some and likely will read it again.
I think I have submitted my work to Dancing With Bear Publishing, but notice I said I THINK I have. I'm getting 'error' messages that tell me my Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working and I have no idea what to do about it. I ran diagnostic tests and on my end, everything is working. I am using Comcast now and Comcast won't send the entire manuscript. My submission went missing, like it was sent, but I do not have any 'sent' notices.
I do have everything on a CD RW,, and would gladly submit it by U.S mail, if I had an address, so I could make certain it does get submitted. I know DWB Publishing is where I am supposed to submit my true stories. Could you possibly email me an address? My comcast email address is: email@example.com.
I will be recommending your book and gave it 5 stars. Your story is proof that love never really dies and that love, indeed, lives beyond the grave. I hope my Bill has met your Bear. Thank you for sharing your story.
