Wicca disguised as innocent nature appreciation, but in reality it's worshiping the creation rather than the Creator.
It's also really eye-opening to realize the degree to which our media and popular culture is so consumed with occult practices. I really didn't know much about the 21 paths to the occult but after reading this book (which touched up on many of them), I feel that I have a better idea of what we need to be aware of and what things to avoid! Sure there is the obvious (things like devil-worship or communicating with demons) but I never really thought about the seemingly innocent acts of mediums, psychics, tarot card readers, etc. that appear in popular movies and on TV shows. I never gave much thought to the dark forces behind those activities but now have a better understanding of what these activities are and what drives them but now I feel that I must be much more discerning about the forms of entertainment (particularly horror movies) that I allow into my life and into my home.
