I really enjoyed this book. It had a lot of turns and twists, I was hooked. I actually finished this book in one sitting because I had to keep reading and find out what happened next. It had a very interesting plot in my opinion. It was easy to relate with all of the characters, especially Chloe who changed gradually as the story unfolded. I liked Oliver best out of the boys, but Ethan was the loving, supportive one so it made me feel guilty while reading. I started to really dislike Chloe as the book progressed, she started treating Ethan really badly and not being appreciative of what she had in life.
Over all, I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to purchasing more of her books. I still prefer "Dangerous Girls" because the ending was outstanding, I actually got shivers as I read the last page. This ending was great too, just sad and not as wrapped up. But it was a great read that I would recommend!
Chloe is excited to move out of her boring town and head off to college. But complications with her mother from her dad taking off force Chloe to defer college because she's needed at home. Community college and a nice, good looking boy named Ethan offer Chloe a distraction while she's stuck.
When Ethan's brother, Oliver, suddenly shows up back in town Chloe's feathers are ruffled. He's smart and arrogant. He's selfish and he's been all over the world. Chloe is drawn to him. But it's not just physical attraction. They see the same darkness the restlessness in each other.
Don't worry. This isn't some annoying love triangle. It's much bigger than that.
My only criticism would be that since it is written in the same style you know there is going to be a last chapter twist so I wasn't that shocked. It was still amazing but I wasn't shocked.
A great read. Well done!
Holy smokes!!! Another incredible read by Abigail! Full of suspense and anticipation there was no way I could put this book down once I started it. I was anxious and on the edge of my seat waiting to see how everything unfolded. The manipulation, the twists; it’s fast paced and will have your blood pumping.
The writing style is amazing and the writing is fantastic. You’re there in every moment. It’s intense and exciting.
“A heartbeat, a split-second’s whim, that’s all it takes to change your life forever. But what happens when you get it wrong? When you feel the sigh of the knife sliding in, and hear the low, pained gasp; disbelief in his eyes that he could misjudge you so completely; the sticky wet smear of red on your hands. What happens when you realize in that sick, bloodied moment-no, no, no!- that you can’t take it back? You chose wrong.”
Don’t miss this fantastic story! Wow, what a rush!
“He underestimated me. They always did.”
I loved watching the threads in Dangerous Boys come together. I loved how my opinions changed about the characters in an instant, loved making guesses of where the story would go next or what was going to happen, loved piecing together the clues Chloe gave us as she told her story. I was both repulsed and amazed by the characters, and I so badly wanted to see how it would all turn out while also desperately not wanting the book to end. I both loved and was horrified by the ending.
I can’t wait to see what Abigail Haas comes out with next. :D
