Ok So a lost island How do you lose an island? Well you will be surprised in this book. It can happen…….
So Riley and Emmerson are off on another of his wild adventures. I must say that I am really digging the quirky eccentric man. Some of the things he does, your like wow! No he didn’t.
In this book the chemistry between Emerson and Riley starts to simmer. Not really heat up per say, since they are really slow at the whole idea of a relationship thing. Maybe it is because Emmerson is well…how should I put this….He’s…well He’s Emmerson. What can I say? I mean he is an extremely eccentric billionaire. His mind is moving a mile a minute. Not to mention that Riley sees Vernon naked more than any one. Awkward!!!
In this book his monk friend Wayan was drugged while meditating on a desert isle. Then he wakes up on another island. Having been evicted from his meditation home by park rangers, he tries to return to his island only to find it completely gone. So he seeks out Emmerson to help him find it.
Not only is an island gone, but people are dyeing or going missing from national parks at an alarming rate. The government is hiding something. I mean islands don’t just disappear and people don’t just have a ton deadly accidents while visiting national parks, right?
This book was a wonderful adventure. I really am enjoying this series. The banter between Riley and Emerson is cute and funny. The things Vernon says cracks me up. He is a nut job. Emmerson may be an eccentric billionaire with a big brain, but he is Riley’s hero and I feel that these two will develop stronger feelings as the stories go on. I don’t exactly think that Emmerson knows what to do with the feelings or how to express them, but it is funny watching him try.
If you are looking for a little danger mixed with comedy, then this is the book for you. So pick it up today.
are unique, quirky and fun. I find myself chuckling at their repartee. They manage to get involved in the damnedest situations and inexplicably
work their way out of them. I don't like to discuss the plot in my reviews. Many others do that and I don't want to spoil a good read.
Let me just say, her stories are not the run of the mill mystery/adventure situations. I have no idea how she dreams up her characters or
plots, but I thoroughly enjoy reading Evanovich and going along for the ride. This new Knight & Moon series is no exception.
Buddhist monk Wayan Bagus lost his island of solitude and wants to get it back. The island was about 200 miles northeast of Samoa. It had a mountain, beaches, a rainforest, and a volcano. And now it’s gone. Poof! Vanished without a trace.
Finding a missing island is better than Christmas morning in the Knight household. When clues start leading to a dark and sinister secret that is being guarded by the National Parks department.
Together, this ragtag, mismatched trio will embark on a world-wide investigation that will expose a conspiracy 100 years in the making.
I love the Stephanie Plum series and these guys are just as fun and the adventures just as quirky but with unexpected twists and turns. LOVE this series and I hope Janet continues to entertain us with Knight and moon and Knight's cousin Vernon. Way to go!
