Thank you for your feedback.
They fit true to your normal shoe size (not boot size unless, of course, they are the same).
I found this boot to be very comfortable and fit was perfect.
Fit like a glove and are super comfortable for the short time I have had them.

Many people complain about two things with the TFX: The lacing system, and removing the boots from your feet. I however do not. This is a great boot with outstanding features. Let me explain why people feel otherwise.

When people say the laces are horrible I agree. They are thick and grippy for military style laces, and OUT OF THE BOX THEY WILL NOT lace properly. I do not know why Danner put such a horrendous lace in here, but it does not matter because the boot itself makes up for it. Alas those are just the laces, most people complain about the lacing system and not the lace itself.

The fact is that the system itself is fine. This is a military boot with a speed lace system. That means the laces are not intended to go below top eyelet. Actually many people tie off the laces at the top off the boot. The idea behind speed laces is that you should be able grab the end of the laces and tighten the boot from top to bottom in on pull. With the proper technique, and after rubbing some of the eyelet paint off that can be achieved.

The second thing you often hear is that the boots are hard to remove. Most people put on the boot for the first time expecting them to be perfect, and that just isn't right. I will say that they are as close to "Out of the box" perfect as you can get, but ultimately they will need to be broken in.

The fact is that these boots are made to be an extension of ones leg. They are supposed to fit snug, because in the field the wearer has to be able to continue on with the mission if the laces are ripped, stretched, or untied. After breaking the boots in properly, removing and inserting the foot will become easier. That said lets get to the good stuff.

THIS IS THE BEST BOOT I HAVE EVEN WORN!!! Alright maybe not the best.

I just got back from Afghanistan. I wore these boots everyday for a year. Wore them out as a matter of fact. That's why I'm here buying another pair exactly like my last ones. The Danner 26016 is far and away the best military boot I've ever owned. They are fantastic under heavy loads, and I don't find the lacing to be an issue. I'll not own another kind, given the choice. Extreme hot, extreme cold. 100% satisfied, and I'm coming back for more.

These boots came highly recommended from a buddy I was in Afghanistan with, now I highly recommend them to you. They are VERY comfortable, light and perfect for desert Ops. My first pair was cut off when I got wounded but I'm back to order another pair. I have worn several brands of boots in numerous Middle East countries and covered many miles in each, but these are the best. Sure the sole gets a little worn but they surpass any other boot I've had. I've had boots that didn't last 6 months of harsh punishment on my feet and these were great for over a year and they still had several klicks left in them. Do yourself a favor and buy a pair. On an extra note, it is a very good idea (with all tactical boots) to try a pair on first for the appropriate fit.

Good boot, extremely durable outside when compared to other boots such as Black Hawks. The sole is moderately comfortable; expect some minor sole issues before these are broken in. These should be selected for their waterproof Goretex liner and their durability; i.e. these do very well in snow, rock, mud, water. Once water gets into the boot (should you wade deep enough), don't expect it to come out until you change boots; the Goretex liner works both ways. Due to their weight and comfort, I would recommend Black Hawk brand over these Danners if you're looking for comfort and speed in moderate conditions such as a ruck run on a flat surface or an uphill venture on plain terrain. If you're willing to trade comfort and speed for high durability and a water-proof liner, these will do very well in tough, wet conditions where other boots like the Black Hawks would get torn up and permeated by water.

These were very comfortable boots. (I was deployed to Afghanistan for 6 months during the hot summer). The ventilation could probably be a little better although this is probably something nearly impossible to do for a boot when it's 120 degrees out. My foot got pretty sweaty even with underarmour socks on. Super comfortable though, by far better than what I was issued!

I have the safety toe version.
I had them for one month and a chunk of leather on the toe came off. I just wear them on weekends, so I had worn them maybe 10 times total over the month I had them.
Called Danner and after sending the boots in for a warranty evaluation I was informed that because I wore the boots on concrete they were not covered under warranty. "These boots are military boots and made to be worn on dirt and stuff not concrete" is what they told me. What a joke.
Danner is not the same company it used to be. I have had at least 5 other pairs of Danners and this would never have happened in the past.
I plan to avoid Danner all together in the future.

    the uppers are really comfortable
the foot bed is rather narrow on both sides it was better when another insole was added, but not enough for me to keep them.
