With a nod to our past, we rebuilt a legend. Bringing back our popular camo hide leather and building on our proven terra force technology, we updated the design for a more streamlined and lightweight profile. The all-leather toe and heel cap protect against wear. We chose a new last and opened the toe box to create a wider platform and better fit. The waterproof, breathable gore-tex liner keeps feet dry throughout the hunt. We added an ortholite footbed with triple layer cushioning for improved comfort. A new outsole retains all the performance of previous generations with a combination of rubber compounds that perform in slick mud and rugged underbrush. No matter where your hunt takes you, this is the boot you can count on to perform.
At Danner, they are craftsmen. They pay attention to details. They forgo quantity for quality, with the knowledge that the boots they craft are no better than the hands that create them.

Boots were perfect for the first six months. Then they (both boots) began squeaking when I walked. It sounded like a wet soled shoe on a highly waxed floor. I thought it was from the outsole/surface contact. Ruled that out with cooking spray on the outsoles. Slippery, but still squeaking. Then I thought it was from insole. Powdered everything up inside above and below the inner sole with talcum powder and expected it to stop. It didn't. Once I confirmed that the squeaking wasn't from the outsole or inner sole, there was only one explanation: it was from the steel shank inside the boots. I contacted Danner and they basically said "No big deal. Send them to us (at your cost) and we will evaluate them and send them (or a new pair) back at our cost if they are under warranty (1 yr). Boots were under warranty, so I sent them back to the indicated address with the information requested in the shipping box. That was three weeks ago. Since I haven't heard anything from them, I called today. Was told that they are running about 4 weeks behind on their returns and that I should expect to hear something from them in the next couple of weeks.
I just want my boots back. I will update if/when anything changes.
Update Summer 2017: well, by around March of this year they were no longer waterproof! I never walk through water or puddles, either; my feet are getting soaked walking through wet/dew-covered grass. They didn't even last a year, but they did see a lot of use and are very comfortable. I give them 3 stars for comfort, but took off 2 from my original review because of their failure to remain waterproof.
I was going to Chicago for an event. I have other Danner boots and have been impressed with the way they perform over the years. I purchased these and wore them the next day. I wore them all weekend with highs in the 20's and my feet stayed warm and dry. I should have ordered a little sooner to break them in before the trip, but they broke in during my trip. Since then, I have taken them out to my hunting lease and they continue to perform well. Very happy!
