About Danny Loomis
A long time ago in a faraway land known as Oregon, I began my journey as a writer, when I wrote a short story for Boy's Life magazine. Thus began an itch that had to be scratched--the desire to write. After decades as a technical writer and several non-fiction works, retirement happened. Suddenly, the Muse pointed in a different direction, and I began writing fiction again. I published three novels (Baker's Gold, Baker's Redemption, Baker's Luck) on Kindle, and also have a short story collection (Dreamcatcher Tales) that is now available. To shake things up a bit, I've published several military Science Fiction novels, and a Mystery/Political Thriller.
Where will this tale of a writer haunted by multiple genres end? Only the Muse knows...

struggle. Major Ian “Irish” Shannon of the Orion Confederation is sent to scout the Alliance
Hegemony, since not everyone believes their overtures of peace. His leadership and fighting
abilities are severely tested when he becomes embroiled in a plot by Alliance factions to replace
their leadership that is truly reaching for an end to hostilities. Complications arise when aliens
invade, and mortal enemies are forced to unite in a desperate attempt to repel an implacable foe
bent on the eradication of all humanity.
“…I’ve enjoyed the first three novels in the ‘Scouts Out’ series, and find this one to be the
best yet!” –Pete C–
Francis finds himself threatened from all sides in this thrilling chase across the country for not only money, but life itself!
The brutal reaction by the organization responsible threatens not only Francis’ life, but those of his companions. It’s a race against time to see who will survive: The slavers, or Francis and his violence-prone crew. Suspense and action highlight this second novel in a series.
Thirty-five stories are brought together in this edgy collection that puts a subtle twist on ordinary life...or sometimes NOT so subtle. Cruise through tales of (almost) normal people living the American dream; from bring 'em to justice stories, to a tale about a group of strangers who gather at a local coffee shop to have a somewhat (REALLY!) strange time together. Sometimes, things don't turn out the way we expect them to.
“An excellent beginning to a new series! Great dialogue and plot kept me riveted throughout the story–can’t wait for the next book.” (Frubaby)
