About the Author
Zoe Burton first fell in love with Jane Austen’s books in 2010, after seeing the 2005 version of Pride and Prejudice on television. While making her purchases of Miss Austen’s novels, she discovered Jane Austen Fan Fiction; soon after that she found websites full of JAFF. Her life has never been the same. She began writing her own stories when she ran out of new ones to read. Zoe lives in the snow-belt of Ohio. She is a former Special Education Teacher, and has a passion for romance in general, Pride and Prejudice in particular, and NASCAR. Zoe is a PAN member of the Romance Writers of America, the Northeast Ohio chapter of the RWA, and the Beau Monde chapter of the RWA. She also belongs to the Jane Austen Society of North America, and JASNA’s Ohio North Coast chapter.

There is not much of a parallel to the original except for characters names and the fact that Darcy and Lizzy and Jane and Bingley end up together.
Not much in the way of conflict or obstacles. Georgiana is sneaking around to see George Wickham, who is bad news, but that resolves rather painlessly. Liz was burned in a serious relationship in her past, which she has to get past in order to let herself fully love Darcy. Naturally, she overcomes her relationship phobia. If you enjoy angst-free romance, you might like this.
I don't know much about racing, but I found the whole scene where the four meet to be unbelievable. I would expect race car drivers to be way too focused on their pending race, with adrenaline already starting, to be so relaxed and flirting with two girls they just bumped into. And I REALLY don't think a driver concentrating on winning would be talking with his pit crew in the middle of the race about making sure that the girl he just met would get a pass to the winners circle.
