The crossovers continue as Daredevil once again teams up with Spider-Man, but this time, the Punisher joins the fray! Mark Waid's Daredevil run continues to be great fun, but in this book, there are times when things take a slightly darker turn, and that's not a bad thing.
The Omega Effect story, told in the pages of Avenging Spider-Man and The Punisher as well as Daredevil, wasn't quite as great as some of the past few arcs in Daredevil, but it was still quite enjoyable, and this is largely owed to the marvelous art of Marco Checchetto. It's bold, clean, and crisp, and it's a nice change of pace from the minimalist stylings of Marcos Martin and the like. Later in the book, Chris Samnee's simpler approach succeeds in visually telling the story of Matt Murdock's first date with Kirsten McDuffie. This issue, #12, was one of my favorites in this book, along with the last issue in the book, #15, which finds Daredevil in a nearly-impossible predicament. It's one of the most desperate situations we've seen DD in yet, and I loved it.
Simply put, The Man Without Fear is still going strong.

Ending weak-obviously a filler for preposterious action to fill up the pages. Otherwise, the beginning three-fourths
were very good. Too bad ending so obviously meant to be a filler.

Mark Waid has put the fun back into Daredevil while not ignoring the nourish aspects of Frank Miller's turn on the series. With the arrival of Chris Samnee, Waid has found the perfect balance of artist and writer.

Waid really knows what he's doing with these characters. He's pretty much surpassing Bendis in this run, in my opinion. Daredevil is my favorite superhero along side the dark knight. Great writing, fun art and captivating characters.
