Great for our family tradition

I want to be clear these are glass ornaments and will break if you drop them but in my opinion they are extremely sturdy for what they are! We use one a year and store them in the box they shipped in, no breaks yet!

My wife and I love these. Every year after Christmas we order some brick oven pizza and a bunch of beers. We fill these with little strips of paper with memories of things that happened that year. The good bad and the ugly all go inside of the ornament. It’s a great day and something that the both of us look forward to every year. Hopefully one day our kids can open them up and see a snap shot of each year!

We used these to emboss our daughter's handprint to create "1st Christmas" ornaments. They worked well and arrived without incident. I was really happy to find they were all intact when I received my order. They were packaged really securely. And so far we haven’t had one break! I suppose we will see how they hold up over the years, but we made sure to make a few extras just in case. The glass seems to be fairly thick (not super thick, but a decent thickness) so I’m hopeful that it will last well.

I almost did not purchase these ornaments after reading multiple reviews, but I am glad that I did. First of all, the title description is incorrect in using the words "heavy duty" because no where on the packaging does it state that these ornaments are heavy duty glass, but they are definitely very sturdy and I can truly state that because I put them to the test! The glass is not the issue, but the metal cap is and no one mentioned that in their product review. The manufacturer used the cheapest, thinnest metal that could be found, so be careful when you handle them if you plan to remove them for a project. I carefully removed them and put two drops of super glue gel inside the caps to secure them to the ornament and that worked very well. The ornament boxes were each wrapped in bubble wrap and out of a total of nine boxes, no ornaments were broken! I do recommend these ornaments, even for a very detailed project like mine where the ornaments were handled a lot.

"Heavy duty" ........not quite! These ornaments feel delicate, and they sure are. When I opened the package, one was broken. That's not unexpected with anything glass. But as I worked with them, I'd find a small hole in the bottom of one.....then another....then one would break in half. I've done crafting for many years, so I doubt it was my handling. By the time I gave up and discarded the remaining two that were still whole I realized giving them as gifts would be silly.
Incidentally, the other shape I ordered at the same time, the oval ones, were sturdy - none has broken.
Save yourself some time and disappointment.

I bought this for projects. Honestly I had originally want plastic. However wasn't paying attention when I purchased these and thought EH no big deal. They're glass they should be Durable. My project consisted of a simple vinyl with mod Podge on the inside for glitter. Nothing major. 3 out of the 6 balls broke. There was nothing heavy in them. I believe the way they were breaking was when I was either taking the top off or putting the top back on. I know for sure one broke when putting the top back on. Trying to get the top on and off was challenging. You have to be SUPER careful. The top has a tendency to be hard to control and if not careful it will crack the glass. Super disappointed that 3 out of 6 broke. I feel they could be slightly more durable. Be careful.

Product arrived in perfect condition. Received 4 bulbs as advertised. We filled these with little mementos to remember our stillborn daughter this Christmas. I researched and compared the sizes of these ornaments quite a bit before buying and now that I see these in person, I wouldn't want anything smaller. I also considered buying the fillable plastic bulbs you can snap together-- however in the end I wanted them to look on the classier side and not look like a kids craft project (although I think I will try the plastic ones later as you can do some great things with them too-- check out Pinterest for ideas)

Update: They have been on our tree for one week and one of them has now cracked all the way around. My husband was using a pencil to push an item in the bulb when he making his-- and we think it must have caused a crack that spread over a few days into looking really bad. I won't be able to store it with all the cracks so I will replace it before then. Just be careful when filling them-- they are thin glass. The other 3 are in fine shape.

Ok so I'm aware these are glass and cheap and I was using them to make unicorn ornaments which means I was glueing thibg to them horn, ears, flowers ect. but they are not heavy duty they break really easily. That being said if you have no kids or pets and are not a clutz like me they do look nice just seriously I dropped one no more than an inch or maybe 2 from the ground and it broke. Dropped another one about a foot from the carpeted ground and it broke another one appeared to have a small crack in it not sure how that happend but it was still usable at least.

Not really heavy duty glass

We received the items in perfect condition which was great but handling them is a different situation. These glass balls are fragile and not really heavy duty, as described in its title. 2 of our glass balls cracked when they got close to each other. If you plan to put something hard inside it (like beads) be very careful because it can also cause some cracks. We put some small candies in it and it cracked.

The glass balls are beautiful and perfect if you will only use it with soft fillings or if you will only decorate its exterior. Saying that these are "Heavy Duty" Glass Balls is very misleading.

These are surprisingly sturdy glass balls. The metal collars are less sturdy. I had to fuss with a few of them when one or two points insisted on folding over when I was replacing the top after putting a “decoration” inside. But I didn’t have to worry about the edge of the glass chipping. Ironically, we were trying to break these with a pellet pistol and they weren’t super fragile. They did break with a clean hit haha. Definitely excellent quality for their intended use as a DIY decoration! They arrived promptly and packaged well to prevent breakage.

The bulbs were the perfect size for my project. But look closely to the head of the bulb 3/4 of my package had hair line cracks. 2/4 actuaclly broke into pieces when i tried to look closely as to how bad they were. Very dainty glass. Not sure what part of it is heavy duty. I marked it around with a yellow marker to point out the hair line fracture.
