I bought these for the eyes of my crochet stuffed animals and projects and they work great!
I also bought the 6mm and 12mm eyes and they all work the same and just as amazingly. It is just based on your opinion on how big you want the eyes to be for whatever project you are working on.
The quality of these eyes are good and the backing makes them stay in place really well, so don't worry about loose eyes or missing eyes.

Black Beady Eyes on my Crab

Exactly what you want for safety eyes!! These can't be beat!! Seriously, they don't come off unless you cut them apart. No need for sewing them on, however there is a loop hole for that. Do not waste your money on any other product!

Misleading Size

Very upsetting!! I order these and it states that they are 9mm eyes. When item arrived they were too small for 9mm. I compared them to the eyes I currently have in my inventory and they matched the 6mm size.
Item came label as 9mm. I think they got the labeling and item mixed up when they packaged it.
Very upsetting because I was waiting for the eyes to complete my project. Now I have to wait for the correct size to be shipped.

the backings are a little difficult to get all the way on, but once they're on, they're great! the surface of the eyes are nice and smooth without weird dimples or other irregularities that one finds in some plastic eyes.

So happy I found this!. I tried out the Darice safety eyes at a local craft store and liked the quality, but it was $2.50 for an 8 pack....so onto Amazon I went and they didn't let me down. Same brand, same good quality safety eyes for my crochet amigurumi animals. I received 50 solid black eyes with 50 safety backs, not a broken or scratched piece among them for $6.99.
