The past few releases by Gwar have been disappointing. With the death of the singer odorous and the guitarist, Maximus, the releases have been really, really crappy. Not even worth a few dollars much less full price. This one rocks! Lots of good songs, heavy!

I've been a GWAR fan since forever and this one has turned out to be one of my favorites after America Must Be Destroyed and Scumdogs, with Violence Has Arrived a close 4th. All around great album with no weak songs. (I'm not including the more ambient tracks at the end in that statement, but I even enjoy those a bit). There's some good social commentary on current event in the lyrics. Ratcatcher has to be the best interpretation of the Pied Piper fairy tale ever, told in a way only GWAR could tell it. If you haven't been in touch with GWAR in awhile, this one will bring you back into the fold.

This album is a much more balanced heavy metal release with splashes of punk.
