I love this series, I fly through it, just so much damn fun. I love how we jump several years ahead in this. All my favorites are back including Ravens crazy family. I wish these people were real, they sure feel like it. If you've read this far then you know how good these are. I will always be willing to immerse myself in this world as long as the author keeps writing them. Raven is my hero!!

I have read all the books in this series and this was a good addition. The story is unique which is hard in fantasy books. The powers that Raven has and the family and friends in her story all meld together well. The addition of stories about her siblings is cool. It's not always just about the lead character. The pace of the story kept me reading. It has action with a little romance and snark. I love snark. Great read and looking forward to the next one!

Bane the pain in her rear end has a few surprises in store for her.
He needs something so of course, he has to make Raven need something more in return right? Well maybe...

Juni...oooo Juni growing up brings so many problems.
We get all the characters we have come to love / and or not in this one so prepare yourself for a rollercoaster of emotions.

If the Lord of War wants War... The Queen of Corvids will ...
Loved it and can't wait for more!!!

Five fabulous stars because this is definitely my favourite book in this series. We've kind of jumped a little way into the future but Raven is still as sassy as always but better yet she's really been taking notes and definitely has a handle on what it takes to be a Queen. Her relationship with Cole in this book was by far more believable than previously and their mutual respect and passion just leapt off the page. Now if only she could wrangle her family but then again that's the beauty of this series because Ravens family dynamics just keep piling on the angst and also admittedly a lot of fun !
Hey you don't need me to rehash the story so I won't but I will say the signs are all there for readers to follow as Raven does what she does best and that's step up and defend those who cannot defend themselves. Definitely my favourite so far and an ending to get you wanting more.

As the saying goes be careful who you mess with ... because when you mess with one Crawford you mess with them all. But the most dangerous is one very protective sister who just happens to be the Raven the Queen of Corvids and stepping easily into that role now to protect her sister.

Poor Juni, made a deal with the devil - so to speak - and now she is indebted to the Bane of the queen's existence. What will the Crawford's do to rescue their own? Read and see - and enjoy.

Fast paced read in a world mixed with shifters, humans, haters, lovers and a variety of mystical beings - but none as tough as Raven when it comes to family. The mystery and romance will keep you reading and the family will keep you laughing - even in the face of danger.

A great read but you might want to read the novella about Juni to get the full gist of what is happening!

Dark Legacy is a well-written, fast-moving urban fantasy filled with deliciously vivid characters, unexpected twists, and McKenzie's trademark, humor.
Underpinning the plot, the heat between Raven and her husband Cole continues to sizzle. How could it not?
"...Cole was still devastating to look at. He always had a lethal, rugged edge to his expression making him beautiful in the same way a tsunami about to crash on a shoreline is beautiful."

I highly recommend this book to lovers of steamy urban fantasy with a side of snark.

A force to be reckoned with

Raven has returned to remind everyone that no one messes with family. This story had all the qualities readers expect to see in the series: kickassery, twists, mystery, and a real jerk of a bad guy whose ego can't fit through the door.

Raven, Cole, and Rourke work as a team to get Juni out of the enormous mess she's made while also thwarting Bane's evil plan. (Be sure to read Juni's story before you read this one to find out how Juni got into this mess and to read about a budding romance for our little fox shifter!)

J.C. McKenzie has done it again by crafting a sexy, entertaining, and hilarious tale that had me reading hungrily for more. I got an early copy and am glad I did! Can't wait for the next one as always <3
