This is part two in the conclusion of dark love. Be sure you read part one first and then this conclusion it's worth it.
DARK LOVE may be a bit dark, but it's also a great romance story. This book is riveting, emotional, dark and wicked with some steamy sex scenes. J. B. Duvane manages to weave a grippingly dark and twisted plot with artfully developed main characters. The characters of Charlotte and Raymond both have dreadful pasts. Raymond lets Charlotte leave the mansion to visit her wicked father who was dying. While at the mansion, Raymond starts reading some of the handwritten books in his family library concerning the estate and what happens to the estate if there is no Valice linage—the estate goes to the Beauchamp family and providing there is no foul play by the Beauchamp. One of the servants (Beauchamp) tries to kill Raymond, but Raymond was able to kill him first. Will one of the Beauchamps go after Charlotte next? Will Raymond be able to rescue Charlotte again? Why are the Beauchamps trying to kill Raymond and Charlotte? This is a disturbing dark romance with intrigue, suspense, and passion continues to keep you glued to the pages of this fascinating story. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. There is something so good about reading a good book, and this book was awesome! The book will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end. So do yourself a favor and buy BOTH books 1 and 2, you will not be disappointed.
Charlotte and Raymond are back in the final part of Dark Love. Charlotte has left to go see to her father, leaving Raymond behind with superstitious voodoo worshipping servants who've turned mutinous. A servant pulls a knife on Raymond and tells him that one of the other servants went after Charlotte to kill her. Raymond kills the servant in self defence before his right hand man Gerald comes running in with news that the car Charlotte was in was run off the road. Raymond and Gerald leave in hot pursuit of Charlotte and rescue her from some crooked cops who want to rape her.
Raymond flies Charlotte to his private island to keep her safe from his servants, then flies back home to deal with said servants, not realising that one of the servants had snuck onto his island and has now kidnapped Charlotte. The servants can only inherit Raymond's fortune if Raymond dies childless. Which was not a problem until Charlotte came along and Raymond fell in love. To the servants, that means Charlotte must die. Will Raymond be able to find Charlotte before it's too late?
Dark Love is a suspenseful story about two broken people who have only known misery until they found each other, only to have that love threatened. JB Duvane has written another gripping page turner that I could not put down. I highly recommend this book.
