Melinda is a great girl, a bit naive, doing the best she can trying to get by..She is a great pianist and she read tarots..That’s what pays the bills but she truly has a gift..dark perception or more to the point visions of the future.
She has two best friends..Jack and Ellie.
I totally love Ellie..a bit crazy and blunt!
Jack.. I didn't know much about him so couldn't decide..
Nathan comes waltzing in to save the day.. or better yet to offer Melinda a great opportunity and a better future!
But..and this is a big BUT...nothing is as it seems..Both Jack and Nathan have secrets..If you add strange visions to the mix, a high society with even more secrets and certain preferences of someone..well you are in for a ride..
Couldn't put it down and even when it ended I was still getting goosebumps.
Can't already wait for book 2 in the series!
Melinda was born with a gift to see the future. She pays rent and puts food on the table by using this gift. Jack has a gift too and wants a future with Melinda. Melinda wants more than he can give. When she meets Nathan she is swept up into his world. He wants to hire her for his gift but she soon learns she wants more. When he makes her his completely will it be what Melinda wants.
This story was full of secrets. Some characters I loved and then it turned out I didn't like them so well. Nothing seems like like it really is.
Intrigue, secrets, visions, ghosts, more secrets, sexy scenes, love and heartbreak were only some aspects of this great read.
Woven against the tapestry of her native New Orleans, Ms. Weis tells this story as only she can. She pulls the reader into the spirit of the Quarter and the wonders found there, both paranormal and actual. The characters and the plot are well defined and the bit of paranormal that is thrown into the story only intrigues the reader. While this story is complete with a HFN ending for Melinda, it sets the stage for a wonderful mystery in the rest of the series, which I cannot wait to read.
I haven't decided whether to continue with the next book, but I suspect it will haunt me until I do. I will think about this until I reach the end and everyone has their HEA. Sigh.
I don't want to call this bdsm, because what was in here was a poser making his own rules. I personally think it should come with a disclaimer saying that this is not what true BDSM is. This age of romance has 1 out of every 5 books in the BDSM genre. With rising ER and counseling visits due to amatures failing at it, BDSM should be spoken about correctly and positively. I understand that this was not truly an example of it, yet some readers may think it is. A disclaimer will help clear that up.
While not exactly a cliffhanger, some things aren't dangling.

I like when the paranormal meets the normal, or maybe I should say the erotica side.Read more
