Hamish is on the run from the werewolves. He has been able to avoid them for 500 years yet he needs Sophie to help him. Hamish is a friend of Patrick yet he needs Sophie to help him with the vampires. Need to read to find out what happens when the vampires show up.
The next part involves the tragedy that happens to Sophie’s dad, and a tenderloin that is, shall we say, attached to Sophie. Then we meet Martin Keller who is a vampire hunter and he is determined to kill Patrick. Will Keller succeed? We learn a little more about Vincent, will Vincent be able to help or die trying. Keller also wants to kill Sophie and her mother and brother.
The next part Patrick, Sophie and the Lock go to Gothos where they meet Diana and Astley. I will mention that Sophie is supposed to conceive a child while at Gothos as the prophecy predicted.
In the next part we have John Tarney who is locked away in a steel room. The orderlies want to take John to observatory yet John refuses to leave his room. He knows if he does, Patrick will know where he is. Sophie doesn’t know why she is at a psychiatric hospital or how she got here. It appears she has amnesia for the past year and she is told she was missing for a year although to her it was less than a week. She learns that she did have a baby.
The last part is when Sophie and Shelley venture out to find Patrick and the baby only to run into Dexter who tries to get them to help him capture Patrick so he can dissect him.
