Overall, I will probably read more of the series to see how it develops from book to book.
This is the 1st book in the series of currently 3 books which l hope the series grows to more books as l am really enjoying this series so far.
Mira Swanson is a language expert, she translates for US Senator Langhorne. Jackson Archer is a Billionaire ex-Navy Seal and Cyber Security Specialist who owns DARC Ops. While doing a favour for Senator Langhorne Mira comes across a document she translates and becomes concerned with what she has translated. She talks to her friend Lashay and Lashay tells her to contact her ex-boyfriend Matthias who works for DARC Ops. She has a meeting with Jackson who at first doesn’t believe her language skills, or her allegations but eventually comes around. Mira has thrown Jackson in a loop, with all his Seal training Mira is driving him crazy, he wants to protect her, and when they dig her life is in danger. He has never crossed the line with a client, it is one of his rules. Does he break his rule for Mira? Do they have a chance at finding love? With a conspiracy, secrets and Mira’s life on the line this is a book l could not put down.
I was hoping it would be a great read, but I didn't really connect with the characters. In the beginning of the story it seemed like the author was laying the ground work for great characters, but then got lost along the way trying to be too witty. It could have been a good story. Oh, well...Happy Reading:)
