Editorial Reviews

Review

-Gounev opens new and interesting perspectives. . . . A good overview of the complex relationship between the western world and Russia, especially with regard to the question how to deal with the global threat of political Islam. . . . It is wise to listen carefully to the insight of this East European who knows well the centuries of domination of his home country by the Ottoman Empire. History will tell whether the development of the various scenarios will be as inevitable as described by Gournev.-

--Dietrich Kuhl, Journal of the Institute of Islamic Studies
