The history of color is a few hundred years old and as my own people wake up but still contain ignorance, It is important to understand what my richer colored sisters and brothers experience.
This book is perfect timing and is important to further understand other peoples perspective and experiences in yesterdays and today's western society.
As not only a black man but a dark skinned black man with observational acuity, i've noticed the light-skinned/dark-skinned rift among our womben. That the lighter-skinned womben still deny they have obtain preferential treatment in this pale "white" dominated society and arent willing to relinquish the pedestal of being "highlighted" by WHITE males as the "standard of beauty" FOR BLACK PEOPLE and being placed on par with their darker sistren they PRETEND to either NOT see the plight, block it out of their awareness, or refuse to acknowledge it bc it then puts the spotlight on Dark Skinned Black Womben, and the SIGNIFIGANCE of "light-skinned" black womben will diminish and be normalized and/or the paradigm shift will fluctuate to the ORIGINAL image of beauty which was & should be Dark-Skinned Black Womben. Thus the philosophy of "dark skinned resurrection" is born through the VESSEL of Mama Rashida Strober to bring a HARMONIOUS PENDULUM BACK TO(NOT ONLY THE WORLD) BUT THE BLACK WORLD IN PARTICULAR; since we are the first Womban & Man were Dark Skinned. This was a world she was born into and traversed through to become the womban she is today; she didnt create the issues of today, she was born into it and is leaving a Dark-Skinned Legacy of Footprints in the Sands Of Time.
I, a Dark-Skinned Black Man; Black Soul LOVE Black Womben to Death & Life & my preference has always been Darker Skinned Womben, I will be that Ridah for MY BLACK WOMBEN IN THEIR (((RIGHT))) MIND. I will NEVER ABANDON YOU OR THEM FOR ANY RACE OF FEMALES. We in this s*** TOGETHER it's US AGAINST THE WORLD.
From Auset & Ausar to Betty Shabazz & Malcolm Omowale X to Rhonda & Pastor Troy to Nina Mosley & Darius Lovehall. We are the Halves that COMPLETE the puzzle piece and make the WHOLE Circumference. Black WomBan + Black Man = Harmonious Dualism.
Sincerely Yours; #BlackSoul.
