I recently found this game with one of my friends and he was among the first in my circle to have a gameboy. Since I recently got my first gameboy handheld i.e. a gameboy advance from my brother in New York well i decided to try a monochrome game and have some fun for I just had finished the game that he sent along with the handheld(Dragonball Z-Legacy of Goku).Well the game is developed and published by Ocean which was a major game publisher of games based on movies like Robocop,Robocop 2......you get the idea.Darkman has gameplay in a manner similar to the double dragon games and the streets of rage game. The plot based on the movie of the same name is quite good in gameplay but the game is too short. I managed to finish it under 2 hours. There are about four or five levels with very unimagintive bosses but that may be due to the movie franchise limitations. The sounds are well let's say a little lame and the enemies are very few and after a while you get tired of beating the same guys over and over again. The graphics are quite good considering it is a monochrome game made in the early nineties. But if you are a fan of double dragon type games and love to beat waves of baddies over and over and over again like me, then this is definately worth a buy as long as it lasts. I suggest you buy it if you get it a cheap deal otherwise try and rent it..
