I have read MANY survivalist books (A. American, S. Konkoly, Bobby Akart, etc. - they all fascinate me. I lived on a farm
for 3 years during my pre-teen years and learned much of what is being taught in this type books. And I am glad I did!
Harley, your books are well written and thought out; however, can we get away from people getting killed every 4 - 5 pages?
While likely true, It gets old after awhile. I'd rather read how to find plants and foodstuffs in the wild and how to build a
shelter to keep my family safe. More details & less gore please.
For you newcomers to this genre, read William Forstchen's books. His "One Year After" was recommended to the U.S. Congress
as a book every American should read. You'd better believe it! A. American's series, while badly in need of an Editor to
proofread his offerings, nevertheless has been the most interesting to me because of the details he offers in the way of "how-to"
do different things to help a person survive.
No criticism intended here - just a word to encourage you young writers to not be in so much of a hurry to kill everyone off.
(I am an old writer mysellf!!). Keep writing, all of you - I still have good eyesight.
