Product Description

Deceived by the forces of evil into prematurely bringing about the end of the world, War - the first Horseman of the Apocalypse - stands accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell. This is a great game and well worth the price. This is one of those games that gets much better as you go along. The levels become more beautiful and interesting. I've moved on to the sequel now, but I am so happy that I played this. I'm very surprised that this series is not more popular than it is. Keep in mind that some of the Boss fights can be challenging and that you may need to do a bit of research to figure out how to beat some of them. It's not always a "hack n' slash" scenario. There were a few times when I thought I'd have to stop the game, but I am so glad that I kept going.

As a fan of the DarkSiders series, the first is clearly the best entry. The PS4 version is a true beauty. My wife enjoyed watching me play the game she made a few comments. Early on it was "It looks like a God of War clone." A spade is a spade, yes this is a GoW clone .... However, the music, sound effects and basic foundation may be that but the game is different in it's playability and rpg elements romp with a clever story, fun combat with incredible atmosphere. You won't be disappointed.

It's great value to be completely honest. It's a solid game for $20; it'd probably be worth it at around $30 even. Gameplay wise, it's often feels like a God of War reskin but that's not exactly a bad thing. God of War was a top notch game so a $20 game with similar hack and slash mechanics and dungeon puzzles is for the most part a good thing. The game overall is quite easy though, the boss battles are nice and appropriately challenging but easy otherwise. There's a good 10-15 hours of main story though, and that's not including replaying for extras.

Bought this game because it was on sale. Overall not bad for a remaster. Although i have to say that i did experience some frame dips from time to time which was odd. If you do have this game on pc i would not recommend buying this remaster as it will run better on higher specs on the pc and you get the remaster for free if you have bought it already from steam. I would only recommend this if you dont have a pc or haven't played the original in previous consoles
