Fair price for a good looking sock

Preliminary review. The socks are made of fine along fiber shiny dense wool yarn. They have low compressibility when squeezed between the fingers. I am not looking for fluffy socks. I want them to last. They feel sturdy and maybe even a little stiff. I have only worn these socks a couple of times. I will be looking for durability. I weigh a lot and I tend to go stocking footed around the house. Most of my socks don’t last me six months. After that they get thin under the ball and heal and soon develop holes.

Warm and comfortable socks

These socks keep my feet warm on long runs in cold NYC days. Cotton socks for half marathons and 10k's in 20 degree weather can leave your feet numb or at least uncomfortable. A friend recommended wool socks. I picked up these, which seem both durable and definitely make a difference in terms of warmth. They are slightly small for the sizing as a few others have noted. But from my perspective, it's close enough that you can still pick your regular size without concern.

*They have a lifetime warranty
*They're the best feeling socks I've ever worn
*They wick sweat better than any material I've tried before
*They don't retain any smells
*They work wonderfully in the cold disgusting winters of Michigan and shockingly better than anything else in summer

So you get what you pay for. I stopped paying for anything else.

No socks have ever fit me quite like these, they fit snug and nice and don't move around on your feet. They are not loose and sloppy like most socks I've owned.
I never thought I would get so excited about a pair of socks.. I've known of them for over a year, but never pulled the trigger on buying any. I now will not run in anything else, and have ordered a second pair. Currently waiting for a deal or sale to start replacing my work socks. I'm sold. I'm hooked.

I really like these socks. They are a bit pricey for socks, but you have to look at them as a one time purchase. Wear them out and Darn Tough will replace them. I actually prefer the ultra light cushion better but these are great too. In case you didn't know wool doesn't hold odors. Take them off, air them out, and put them back on the next day! Seems gross but it is true. That is a great trait in a sock if you only have a couple pairs with you. Did I mention I really like these socks? Get a pair and you will too!

Maybe my favorite summer socks

Darn tough has become my favorite sock brand because they're very comfortable and, in spite of the price, a great value due to their durability and exchange guarantee (although I doubt if I'll get a chance to test it). I like these particular socks because they have a special kind of character of their own. Maybe it's the tabs on the top... I don't know, but they do get noticed & complimented. Who knew? I just wanted some no- show merino socks :-)

Good socks (you get what you pay for)

I do wish the design of the sock was a little different, I bought the orange/gray pair to match with my orange/gray Merrel Bare Access 2 shoes.

Good:
-Socks wick incredibly well, the only sweat I had on my feet were in between my toes after wearing them all day on a hot summer day.
(also, the socks themselves weren't wet, which happens with other wool socks and running socks I've tried.)
-Incredibly good odor management thanks to that Merino wool.
-Socks don't slip on your feet, and don't slip much in your shoe.
-Holds up relatively well to walking on rough surfaces with no shoes on (only slight scuffing was noticed)

Bad
-Double pull tabs are a bit awkward to use. I find that the sock would be much easier to put on with just one tab. On the other hand, these are WAY easier to put on than Injinji socks!

These socks are a gift from the Gods. The ultra-light version is better for warmer climates, but this version is still tolerable. They're super-comfy and dry fast in a hotel room. The extra padding from the quality wool is nice and they resist odor very well. These are one of the best socks on the planet, in my opinion.
