Perfect for 14’ers or quick day hikes, our Micro Crew Stripe has just the right amount of sass and toughness. Cushioning along the bottom of the foot provide the perfect amount of support while a smooth, performance fit assures there’s no slipping, no bunching, and no blisters. Fine gauge knitting makes this Merino Wool sock a true workhorse that’s supremely comfortable, breathable and fast drying. Cool in the summer, warm in the winter and naturally antimicrobial so it repels bacteria and odor —a great feature when you need to get an extra day (or two) out of your socks. Still made in Vermont. Guaranteed for life.

The cushion level is perfect for wearing with my running shoes, too. I've had these for a few months and they've held up to multiple washings without fading. Honestly, though, with a lifetime guarantee, you can't really go wrong with Darn Tough socks. I'm up to 6 pairs now and I regret not purchasing them sooner.
Darn Tough is now the only brand I'll buy. These work well with my shorter boots, hiking boots, running shoes, or being worn by themselves around the house. Pricier than most socks, but well worth it as they're holding up well to daily wear and my feet are always warn (but not too hot). :)
