Die Broschur ist etwas anders als abgebildet, der Titel auf dem Umschlag ist reduzierter und um 90 Grad gedreht.
Inhaltlich fasst Herr Hochuli die wichtigsten Aspekte der Detailtypographie zusammen, dies kann man auch in anderen Büchern nachlesen; in manchen Punkten ist er auch anderer Meinung als z.B. Forssmann und de Jong in "Detailtypografie".
Wieso also doch recht viel Geld für so ein dünnes Büchlein ausgeben? – Weil es ein erfreuliches kleines Druckerzeugnis ist.
Wer Jost Hochulis Arbeiten kennt, wird seine Gestaltung sofort wiedererkennen. Der Satz ist vielleicht etwas arg dicht, Schmuckfarbe Rot zur Gliederung und Kennzeichnung, intelligent gesetzte Kolumnentitel, passende Seitenzahlen. Die Verarbeitung ist sorgfältig, eine Freude und hat finde ich Vorbildcharakter: genauer Druck, so daß die Berücksichtigung der Papiertransparenz im Satz erkennbar ist, und hochwertige Bindung: Fadenheftung trotz der wenigen Seiten, Freirückenbroschur mit Klappen und ein Vorsatz im Rotton der im Druck verwendeten Schmuckfarbe.
Kurz: hier stimmt alles.
