The flavor concentrate bottle gives a "serving size" of 1/3 tbsp but is silent as to what amount of water is a 'serving size?' 16.9 oz is the size of Dasani bottled water, and 1/3 tbsp is totally inadequate to even minimally flavor that amount of water. OK, so a soda can of water is 12 oz; that is also too much water to give an acceptable flavor. Perhaps they mean "per 8 oz;" 1/3 tbsp is minimal flavoring that some might like, but I (and I think most others) will want at least double that. OK, that figures out to 18 cents/8 oz serving. Not bad. But wait, there's more:
That would also be 38 cents for a 16.9 oz. bottle of Dasani water. However, this product ad offers the following self-serving advice: "Add drops into bottle of water; add as much or as little according to your own taste buds." Good advice on taste, bad advice on economics: using my taste buds I'd squeeze in 76 cents of flavor per bottle. Ad in the cost of the bottle of Dasani water and I come up with about $2.75/bottle. I can buy almost 3 cans of Diet Pepsi for that.
Dansai is deliberately vague on this subject of "What is a serving." Most people take as much water as they want and squeeze flavor concentrate to taste. They end up spending much more than they thought.
Beware, for there is trickery all around you.

I like it very much - is perfect on hot days.
Taste is very natural from fruits.
I bought a three pack, basicly citric acid, does a good job of giving the water some flavor, a bit pricey, but I will probably more when mine runs out.Published on April 17, 2014 by W. Todd
