Dating The Player is my favorite Erin McCarthy book that I have read to date!
Dak & Eloise were first introduced in Halftime Husband. I was beyond excited that Dak & Eloise were getting to tell their story & it was definitely worth the wait. I have never had a book make me so happy while reading before. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.

Dak was known for speaking before thinking and I loved that about him. He would say and do anything he wanted without worrying how it affected others. Eloise was the complete opposite where she was a ruler follower. I loved how they balanced each other. They brought out the best in each other. I loved going on their journey.

I am not ready to leave these characters & their world behind. And thankfully I won’t have to anytime soon. I can’t wait for Train & Sydney’s book next.

I didn’t just love this book. I LOVED this book. This is my first Erin McCarthy book and I couldn’t get enough. I am such a sucker for a brainy, quirky heroine and pro-athlete trope. Dak is a pro quarterback who is having a bit of trouble holding his tongue on social media and during interviews. Eloise is a football nerd with love for sweaters with kittens on them. Her job is to clean up any messes on the team’s social media pages. Messes Dak often creates. She is tasked with keeping Dak in line. Dak the man she has had a mad crush on for ages. Dak the guy who always chats with her and she doesn’t know why.
I loved seeing these two feel their way through their courtship. Dak is clueless in a cute way. Eloise is a strong, outspoken woman who isn’t afraid to call him on his shortcomings. It was the push and pull that had me reading.
Loved this book so much that I am catching up on the rest of the series.

The beginning read like an ode to a god lol it was a bit much but it was Eloise being fanatical & fantastical in her thoughts about a man she secretly harbored an obsession for so 🤷‍♀️. The way his playerism was described I feel like he should've been tested before getting with Eloise. 🙄😂 I liked that he was the aggressor and I liked that Eloise had some grit to her. It was nice to see the QB fall hard & fast and it annoyed me when Eloise didnt deal with her insecurities like a grown woman. I loved that Dakota kept running towards her instead of closing her out. His attitude was refreshing. They were adorable together and their sexy times were fun & hot. 🔥

Oh my, how I loved this book. The focus was on the relationship between Dak and Kitty. There were no scenes that added page length but did not advance the relationship. Characters, dialogue, secondary characters - I enjoyed every word. I am a huge Erin McCormack fan. I didn’t think she could top the “tap that” series but this book does. So excited for the next book in this series as well as another in the “tap that “ series. Such an embarrassment of riches.

I've been a fan of Erin McCarthy's books for a long time. I haven't read one in a while, and this has made me seriously regret that fact.
Eloise and Dakota are the most adorable couples, and they have serious chemistry, whose (almost) every interaction made me awww and grin.
This may have been the first book I've read from Erin in a long time, but it will certainly not be the last. Not by a long shot.

This is a new series that is off to a great start. Dak is a pro quarterback and Eloise works in the PR department for the team. They are very different but fall for each other anyway. She is scared so pushes him away but eventually they find their way back to each other. Fun dialogue, touching interactions between the characters. Highly recommended.

I absolutely loved reading about Dakota and Eloise! Dak is handsome, has more confidence than a body can hold and is determined to win! He was definitely on a mission to win over Eloise and prove he was the man for her. Poor Eloise didn’t have a chance against Dak the star quarterback. Eloise reel’s you in at the beginning of chapter one and keeps you glued till the very end. I can’t wait to start book two!

I really enjoyed this story, just the right amount of drama, laughs and romance.

Eloise works for the football team in the PR department, combining her love of the sport with work. One of her favourite things is that one of the players, Dakota North always talks to her when he's in the office. She's convinced he is messing with her.

Everything changes when her boss sends her away to Dak's parents with him "to keep an eye on him" and to stop him from causing problems on social media. The challenge is a tough one, made harder by Eloise's crush, and she can't believe it when Dak really ramps up the flirting with her. How can he be attracted to nerdy Eloise?

Such a lovely sweet journey with these two, made difficult by Eloise's self doubt.
