Product Description
Finally metal meets plastic. Diva patented master control pick is the only pick to combine a metal edge with plastic flexibility. From the lightest chimes to the heaviest metal and back again, this pick has it all. The nickel silver Tip is made from the same material as guitar fret wire. If you bend notes you know how slippery frets get. It's the same for the pick, really smooth and really fast.

The first thing I noticed when I started playing is the grip. It feels like it molds perfectly to my thumb and index finger in a very comfortable way. The pick is quite flexible but the nickel plated tip is very sturdy as it hits the string. It was a little jarring at first to be honest but after a couple of hours working around with it I found that the sturdy but flexible nature of this pick offers a very high level of control. Another cool feature is that the nickel plating gives your sound a really nice attack whether playing chords or single note stuff. It can be a little twangy sounding through a really clean channel but a sleight adjustment in technique can clean that right up. (maybe that's what your looking for)
I think that this pick improves the quality of the sound produced and also offers a variety of tonal options that I haven't found in any others. I gave this pick 5 STARS because I really feel like it has already made my playing sound better.
The Dava Master Control Pick (DMCP) is a very nice & useful pick. I've been enjoying it for heavy strumming (or as the metalheads call it, "chuggin'"). I like its thin center and the way it is overall contoured which makes holding it a delight to my forefinger & thumb.
Another thing I really like about it is the metal tip which some folks may not enjoy as it does give a bit of a metallic tone when it touches the strings. This is especially true when you've just replaced your old guitar's strings for new ones. Depends on how you like it or not whether you like that metallic ting - I do for certain passages.
The pick's construction seems to be fairly rigid & yet it has potential to do more than merely chug again on the low E & A strings. DMCP is definitely a plectrum that I will be using a lot of in the future and not just for hard core metal but also for subtle tones in jazz passages with the distortion off.
Overall I give the DMCP 5 out of 5 stars for being what it claimed it was and for being something that I will find great utility for in years to come.
Not sure yet how much degrade / wear is increased as regards to string wear , but I'm not seeing a problem yet, after 2 weeks.
I'm happy to say that I did notice a subtle difference right away when I started playing, using this pick. It requires a slightly different technique than using a very stiff pick, as it has some give in the midsection, but I can see that it might lend a few more MPH to my picking speed, eventually...
I gave it four stars only because it's too early to tell if it will :)

It definitely changes the sound, in my case for the better as I play Drop C tuned metalcore. The pick itself has not worn or changed shape after quite a bit of playing.... the strings on the other hand have slightly changed shade of silver where I hit them. Not sure if that's the coating wearing off or not.
Very comfy and as the other Davas, has the multiple ribs on it so you can hold it further up for more control or further back for a more flexible feel.
Next purchase is going to be a pack of these so when I inevitably lose this one I'll have a replacement!
