Dr. David Godot is a poet whose study of psychology and mysticism led him to begin practicing meditation and self-hypnosis at a very early age. After traveling extensively through his early adulthood, he returned to school to pursue a career as a psychologist. In doing so, he rediscovered his fascination with the unconscious mind, and the methods -- both ancient and modern -- of making contact with it.
Since then, he has become a recognized expert on the clinical use of hypnosis, regularly teaching workshops and giving presentations on the subject at national scientific conferences. In 2011, he was awarded the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis' Early Career Achievement Award, as well as a Presidential Commendation from the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis for outstanding service to the society and to the field of clinical hypnosis.
