Very flavorful and unique. Might be a bit strong/robust for some but otherwise will be very satisfying for coffee aficionados.

A damn fine cup of coffee!

When you pop open a can of David Lynch coffee beans, stick your nose deep in the cylinder and inhale. You won't even have to grind the beans and make a cup of hot coffee for a few hours; they're that strong. The commemorative cans can also be recycled and used again for storing anything from spare change to M&Ms. I only wish they were larger than 8 ounces.

I'm a tea guy, love tea, and I drink it all the time. From all the times I've had coffee I found it bland.

Now, when I first learned that Lynch had his own brand of coffee, I thought it was neat, but since I just dislike the stuff I wouldn't bother. But then one day, out of sheer curiosity, I decided to try it, and I absolutely love it. To me, this stuff makes the perfect cup of coffee (I don't have the best experiences to which to compare it though, but still...)

Anyway, the coffee is strong, once you grind the beans the aroma just overwhelms with bliss, I can't really describe it fully it, but it's what coffee SHOULD smell like. Also, sometimes coffees leave an oily kind of residue in your mouth, and sometimes you can see it in the cup, but this coffee really has more a consitency with that of tea in my mind, strong but clear, it's water but not grimy, yet still rich to the taste. And don't forget the color, it's gorgeous! But of all the taste itself is quite enjoyable, it's a wonderful, roasty heaven; I havne't tried the other flavors, but I sure will.

I didn't just buy this product because it has Lynch's face on it. Some people have been saying this product is Lynch's selling out, but that is as close to an idiotic statement as one could make about it. He's not endorsing it, this is HIS product, and I'm sure he's just as dedicated to this as he is anything else he does. A TRUE artist has no boundaries; Lynch does what he pleases and what pleases him, that's why he's so brilliant. Not to mention, as on the can, part of the sales of the coffee go to Lynch's own scholarship fund; now is that selling out?

I ordered the 5 lb bag of beans which worked out to $0.88 per ounce including shipping. Which the roasters here in Minneapolis, that is actually right in the market price of organic coffees. I bought because I saw on David Lynch's Twitter Feed a Lynch-esque commercial for his DAMN FINE COFFEE and well, just like Twin Peaks, wanted to experience his DAMN FINE COFFEE. Though you can't buy it on Amazon anymore, I ordered directly from Java Distribution. I have to also state that I am THRILLED that David Lynch is rebooting Twin Peaks 25 years later, "It is happening again". So in my small way, I feel like I am supporting his art, this coffee, the growers that produced this coffee all just to see Twin Peaks again. And as I watch Twin Peaks, I will pour myself a cup of this Damn Fine Coffee and take in the aroma and be satisfied for a moment that all is well.
