(I won't spoil any of the plot in this review! Please keep reading!)

I'll start off with something that'll either make you happy or make you cringe: I love Tyler Perry plays! Granted, this play is NOT a Tyler Perry play, but I loved it! I say all of that to say whether you're a fan of Tyler Perry or not, this play is for you!

Michelle Williams blew me away! In the first ballad she really showed off her skills that we typically don't get to hear! Plus her acting was flawless, not at all strained or fake! All the characters did well! The play was believable! Funny! Well edited! Well written! Spectacular! I will be sharing this title with my family and friends and you should too... right after you watch it and see for yourself!

Great stage production. With SOOOO much garbage being sold (as far as staged plays are concerned), I am happy to report that this is nothing like the others! Ann Nesby is a gem, as is Tiffany Haddish! Great cast. Clearly a good deal of improv, which improves the show quite a bit.

Almost didn't watch because I realized it was a play and not a movie type film, however I gave it 10 minutes just to see and I'm glad I did, wonderful play, well written, great cast, I laughed and laughed through this play, don't pass this one up, I'm looking for more plays to watch now hopefully I'll find other hidden treasures like this one.

Oh brother. The loud ghetto friend is funny and the love interest is SEXY, but that's all that interested me. Only two characters sing which makes no sense. The set looks cheap as hell, the acting is awful and Michelle Williams' singing isn't the best. The ending is far too convenient. It all smacks of a Tyler Perry play, but somehow it isn't.

This writer is very talented. The message is there but it's not bogged down in so much seriousness that the viewer can't enjoy the play. Subtle but effective. The actors each held their own as well. I was quite pleasantly surprised.

This Play was very good to watch and I was glad the songs weren't as long as the ones on Tyler Perry's versions. Not to to knocked anybody off the platform, but both were equal far as plot and endings. I would recommend this play to be watched to any of my friends.

I liked this play or movie, whatever you want to view it as. It was not one of my favorites; however, I will recommend it to others for the story it tells. I liked the storyline because it tells of things women and men go through everyday.

You may be disappointed if you thought that this was going to be a feature film because it's not. As far as plays go, however, this one is pretty good. Funny, entertaining and the singing is good, too. If you like Madea type of movies/plays, then you'll probably like this. Most of it is pretty predictable but the circular story line is satisfying. It's definitely worth a try.
