Two books in one... Not a good thing
Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2020
We received this book as a gift at our domestic violence center, via a wishlist we have but the copy we have had a Feng shui book in the middle of it. I'm sure it's a printing error but I'm not sure how to use this book with kids with the 20 something pages in the middle of it talking about Feng shui. Aside from that the content is great!

This is a really great book to read to children ages 5-10 in my opinion who have witnessed domestic violence. I am a therapist and many of my clients were able to relate to the book. I don't necessarily like how it was 'daddy' who lost his temper because that definitely limits the audience. But all in all great book! I will be recommending it.

The perfect book to supprt children who witnessed DV by their father
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 16, 2022Verified Purchase
Although DV can be caused by either gender, this book focuses on the more common occurance which is by the male figure of the family. It's the perfect book to support children who were witnesses of DV to overcome their trauma.

Great book to describe domestic violence to a child with trauma.

It describes domestic violence for a young child to help them understand their trauma and opens up a conversation with the child to let them know they are not alone in experiencing this.
