Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Ralph Rotten is an Indie writer from Tucson, Arizona. He enjoys long walks on the beach, and his turn-offs are tazers & flashing blue lights.  Whatever you do; don't lend Ralph any money.
But his stories are always a lot of fun to read.  Ralph always includes a diverse and colorful cast that practically leap off the pages.  Each novel under the Rotten brand name has been heavily researched for accuracy.  If you are looking for a different kind of story, then you have come to the right place.

The Day Gravity Became Irrelevant is his first book published in conjunction with Indies United Publishing House.

Review

This is the first book I've read by Mr. Rotten and it turned out to be a fun adventure. The story is about two genius brothers and their AI. They invent a new technology and spend the book evading the government and wrestling with the question of what is the best way to share the tech with the world.

The writing goes into a lot of technical details, both with the invention, and later when talking about cybersecurity. It was reminiscent of Neal Stephenson's later books, part adventure, part classroom. I enjoy this /Stephenson is my favorite author/ but I admit it's probably not for everyone, so prepare to learn things if you read this book.

On that topic, I loved the techy focus of the book, and since AI is a passion of mine, it was fun seeing an AI character get so much 'screentime' and watching Alexis' relationship develop with the brothers.

Tldr; if you want a fun read with lots of tech talk, you will enjoy this book.
