Everybody who decided to change their eating habits could greatly benefit from this "whole30 diet" book.
First, you get lists of "good foods" and "bad foods". As a nutrition coach, I urge you to eliminate the ones mentioned under "bad" - they truly are! Instead, start buying the foods listed in the "good" list. If you have only healthy foods in your kitchen, you can't make any mistake while preparing your meals. Easy!
Every recipe comes with little icons, which mean "Whole30 compatible" (this diet being a trademark), "Whole Foods Compatible" and "Paleo Compatible". So, if you follow one of these, you know which recipes to pick.
The recipe collection is amazing! All recipes are made of healthy, whole (real) foods and are original and tasty. If you thought that a healthy diet is boring and tasteless, it is not. You get lots of breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes which you can choose easily from the table of content. Everything is well explained. The instructions are comprehensive and "step-by-step".
What I like most are the little notes from the author, that add a personal touch to the recipes, and also the nice photographs that come with the recipes.
Be aware, this is a real great cookbook, and not a beginners guide with just "4 ingredients" recipes. If you like cooking, and you wish to prepare healthier dishes for you and your family, you will be amazed.
Just decide to live better, download this cookbook, make your shopping list and start cooking delicious and healthy meals like your grandma did. I highly recommend!
This is a diet plan and explains how to use this book for that and how to make it easy.
Has labels for what each dish is considered: whole food, whole 30 and paleo, etc
Each recipe starts with a color photo and list of ingredients but some ingredients I'm unfamiliar with.
How to make the dish is included. NO nutritional information but you should be able to substitute for your dietary needs.
30 breakfast and 30 lunch and 30 dinner recipes. Free ebook is offered.
Here is why:
+ the recipes most often contain very simple and easy-to-buy ingredients
+ most often they are very easy-to-cook. Seriously, if you have 2 hands, you can do it.
+ these meals are healthy and TASTY
+ 90 recipes are more than enough to choose from. Some of the breakfasts are ok for lunches or dinners as well, and vice versa. So you may actually eat these 90 meals not 30 days, but 365 days. And your body will say 'thank you'
+ no crazy or expensive ingredients like biltong, dinosaur eggs, or whatever does not exist or no one has ever seen in the market)))
+ illustrations are helpful when you choose what you want to eat today
+ all recipes are whole food friendly, and many are paleo friendly
+ I have not seen any alcohol in the book
- only a few recipes are whole30 friendly, but they are not supposed to be. Check the book description and name before you purchase it, and you won't be upset.
= I am 100% satisfied with this purchase and will get a paperback. Since it is in color, the price is ok for me.
So that's the concept, but then the rubber really meets the road with some really great looking recipes that I cannot wait to try. I think this book is a great resource for people interested in cleaning up their diets.
