About the Author
Mark Goodwin is a Christian constitutional author and the host of the popular Prepper Recon Podcast which interviews patriots, preppers, and economists each week on PrepperRecon.com to help people prepare for the coming storm. Mark holds a degree in accounting and monitors macro-economic conditions to stay up-to-date with the ongoing global meltdown. He is an avid student of the Holy Bible and spends several hours every week devoted to the study of Scripture and the prophecies contained therein. The troubling trends in the moral, social, political, and financial landscapes have prompted Mark to conduct extensive research within the arena of preparedness. He weaves his knowledge of biblical prophecy, economics, politics, prepping, and survival into an action-packed tapestry of post-apocalyptic fiction. Having been a sinner saved by grace himself, the story of redemption is a prominent theme in all of Mark’s writings. “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.” Psalm 40:2

WHERE IS BOOK THREE?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Seriously these are now my most favorite collapse type novels. Sure there are occasional imperfections, an occasional misspelling, but unlike the grammar nazi's I do not let that prevent me from enjoying a very well written book. I really like the integration of faith into the story line. For me personally, should me and my family be thrown into a situation similar to that which the author painted in this story, our faith and the rest and peace we have from our faith is going to be far more important to surviving in tact, than our physical preparations alone. I also think there are some good nuggets to borrow from. I plan on emailing the author to ask him a few questions. All in all, this is a very good read and I recommend this book.
Update to the review. Good gracious!! I must have written this review in the dark on my phone, outside, in the middle of a raging storm. I commented that I wasn't a grammar nazi, and then proceeded to just butcher the written language in every way possible. My apologies.
So I did email the author and believe it or not he emailed me back! We exchanged a couple of emails and he answered some questions I had. All in all I think he is a fine author and a very decent fellow for responding to me - within the day on top of that. I stand by by initial assessment of 5 stars.
If I were to give you a tip I would say you MUST read book one first. This book doesn't review or reintroduce the characters so you have to hit the ground running.
Where can it be improved? Like someone else wrote, the kindle version doesn't seem to be formatted right. I also have a PDF version and it is fine.
Also, it leaves you hanging at the end. I sure hope book three comes out soon!
This story is science fiction blended with a Christian viewpoint, somewhat similar to the Left Behind stories that take the reader through the coming Apocolypse. More up.to date than the Left Behind series, it is dead on with current world affairs, covering the pathological evil,of the Illuminati, the Financial Tyranny so well exposed by David Wilcock and the horrors of Homeland Security, FEMA and the ONE WORLD ORDER. I found the first two books to be supremely satisfying and intensely educational regarding preparations for the nightmare that could happen to the world.
