About the Author
Deborah Coonts swears she was switched at birth. Coming from a family of homebodies, Deborah is the odd woman out, happiest with a passport, a high-limit credit card, her computer, and changing scenery outside her window. Goaded by an insatiable curiosity, she flies airplanes, rides motorcycles, travels the world, and pretends to be more of a badass than she probably is. Deborah is the author of the Lucky O'Toole Vegas Adventure series, a romantic mystery romp through Sin City. Wanna Get Lucky?, the first in the series, was a New York Times Notable Crime Novel and a double RITA(TM) Award Finalist. She has also penned the Kate Sawyer Medical Thriller series, the Brinda Rose Humorous Mystery series, as well as a couple of standalones. Although often on an adventure, you can always track her down at www.deborahcoonts.com.

Another winner from one of my all-time favorite authors. I’m happy to say Brinda Terry is a kick-ass smart, strong, but vulnerable woman. The kind of protagonist Deborah Coonts excels at bringing to life. Pitting a New Jersey lawyer with a lot of moxie (who’s a person of interest in her husband’s murder) against a bunch of corrupt Texas good ole boys who run an NFL football team is shaping up to be a very engaging situation. And it doesn’t hurt that Paxton Dane, one of the handsome hunks from the Lucky O’toole series is on the scene to help Brinda find the bad guys. My only complaint is that it’s a series and I have to wait until the beginning of Each month for the next 5 months for the next installment! Thanks, as always, Deborah for another excellent read.

I tried reading it in daily installments and found that disjointed approach not to my liking. So I waited for the entire book to be released and it was worth the wait. I am a big fan of the Lucky series so I loved the overlap of Dane, Lucky, nd the mention of Sinjin, Teddy, et al. Brinda Rose is a great leading lady surrounded by interesting supporting characters and i enjoyed this book immensely. Didn't guess who the killer was so it was a well constructed mystery. My only complaint is i needed an index of characters indicating who they were; a few too many to remember everyone's story. That said, this one was worth the price. Strongly recommend.

Wow....she's done it again and I'm hooked! No one does strong female characters like this author. She has a gift for developing interesting characters that draw you in right from the beginning. Looking forward to the next installment.

I really enjoy Deborah Coonts writing style. Her characters have so much spunk. I like this book so far, it's one that ends in a cliff hanger and I have to read the other 2 parts before I find out what happens. That's the part I don't really like.... this is a new character, Brinda. She married a very wealthy man and they live in Texas. He's a horrible person and gets murdered right as they get divorced. Of course Brinda is the prime suspect. So, this is the first part to how she clears her name. Oh yeah, she also has to take over the ownership of a football team. I expect lots of twists and turns in the next 2 parts of the story, along with some shenanigans.

We'll have to see how it goes, but so far, this first in the series was excellent. Brinda Rose has some of the same powerful female traits as Lucky, but the atmosphere of the Texas snob brigade is a great background. Don't kid yourself -- this is really what it is like among the wealthy down there. Good story line, lots of excitement. We'll have to see what happens next!

Deborah still has it. I was disappointed when she told us Lucky was done but this one is just as good. Quite the page Turner. Gets down and dirty with football.

Very much enjoyed reading the story, fits right in with the Lucky series, Will follow this character also. However, rated it lower because the quality of the book and its binding was not good at all. For the first half of the book, about every 5th or 6th page pulled loose from the binding. Just when I would turn the page. Makes it hard to read that way and destroys the book, no way to share it with another reader. It was a new book and just published within the last few months, so no reason it should have done that.

But enjoyable just the same. Very convoluted but I enjoyed the misdirection. Great to see Dane but felt like he was a little washed out in this series. More sparkling in the Lucky O’Toole series. And btw ~ I want to be Fran when I grow up.

Utter cliff hanger. Love the joining of Luckys world with Texas and so nice to have Dane join in the story. Gripping read can't wait for next part of the story

I absolutely loved this story. Great plot and interesting characters, with connections to another strong female character that we grew to love. Please let there be more of Brinda Rose
