My experience with the "flow" techniques in the book is that they really help balance and center me. I noticed that after doing the exercises, I felt much calmer and less anxious. My energy had been low, and one night, I did a couple of the exercises, avoiding the high energy ones as I wanted to sleep. The next morning, I seemed to have more energy than usual.
One more thing I noticed: I have dabbled in meditation. I am by no means an expert, maybe beginner. I noticed that some of the exercises in this book can feel very meditative. And I'd like to add that I don't have to do all the exercises for relief. I can choose a select few, and still notice a difference.
Confronting the challenges of modern living, with tips for eating organic food, avoiding toxins in your environment, easing jet lag, calming, and energizing, as well as tips for helping asthma, back pain, neck pain, sinus congestion, and more, the author has compiled a handy manual of good bodywork recipes to be referred to as needed.
Building on her engineering logic and her studies of shamanism, Asian medicine, and acupressure, the author distills a great amount of knowledge into a very useful guide to improving energy and health. You will need to buy two copies, one to keep, and another to lend.
Starting the new year wanting to learn how I can improve our family's health. There are tips on what to eat, how to cook, how to clean, what products are best for your food and your house. Tomasa even list some of the products for you. This is not a weight loss book, this a "learn to be a better you book".
Although this book is intended for women in their 40s, I feel that my two daughters who are athletes can also benefit from the techniques and tips I learned from this book. As a family we wanted to be healthier. We changed the way we eat and with Tomasa's tips, we will also have a healthy home.
