Ms. Beeves needs to be commended even further by the fact that this was her first published work, since which as of the writing of this review she has two more. I often dread reading the first works of authors, even authors that are my favorites, as all too often they have not perfected their craft as of yet. This is not the case with Ms. Beeves. This book was so well put together that you could tell me that she has been writing thrillers for forty years and if I did not know any better I would believe it.
In a nutshell, this book is of such a high standard that it should be an inspiration to both authors and movie makers everywhere!
Full of twists and turns this book kept me very engaged and wanting to know what was next. The characters were real, not over the top superhuman cliches, I found myself invested in them, getting tense when they were in danger and smiling when they were happy. Several times I was sure that I knew the answer to the mystery and every time there was an unexpected twist all the way to the end.
Just go ahead and buy it already.

I had gotten out of the habit, focusing instead on SciFi.
I have now returned to the crime mystery genre with Keri Beevis and I am glad I picked this novel as my re-entry.
In addition to the Whodunnit plot, it has humor, sexual tension, and a lot of charm.
...and more than a little pizza!
