You would imagine that a book with a focus on teen suicide would be all doom and gloom, but that's not what this book is at all. Letting teens know that it's brave to seek help when they need it and providing tools for people at risk of suicide along with their friends, Dead Serious provides understanding and hope.
From the Author
Sadly, what hasn't changed are the number of middle schoolers, teens and young adults who decide that suicide is a viable option for what, in most cases, are treatable, temporary problems.
The journey to better understand my own brother's suicide has led me to this place. While that journey is never-ending, listening to and writing about the stories of others has been a cathartic and, hopefully, valuable experience that I can share with readers.
