I'm totally awestruck by Ms. Marsons writing. This series gets better with every installment written. There are just not enough words in the English language to praise Angela Marsons and the wonderful Kim Stone series.
After the sixth installment I will be anxiously waiting for book seven. Of course, this book had all the excitement I've come to expect but around the 80% mark my heart was pounding and I couldn't read fast enough to get to the end.
This was once again one heck of a thrill ride from beginning to end. I can't stress enough what you are missing out on if you haven't been reading this series. What are you waiting for? I guarantee you won't be able to stop once you have started.
I am still waiting four her to separate from the pack. I see More exciting things too come beyond the Kim Stone formula crime novels.
Don't get me wrong as I do thoroughly enjoy the characters and Ms Marsons does a fun and more than adequate job of character development . You almost know how Bryant or Stace will react to a situation by Marsons excellent ability to have the regular characters not vary from there perceived personal make up.
My only criticism remains I would like to see a more descriptive account of what the victims and the hero's go through, A little to Pollyanna for me.
(Although I have read all 7 books so not all bad!)
It would be fun to see what Ms Marsons could do writing a darker crime novel. I think it will be outstanding!
book very intense, sad and true. It is really not a book I would read. It is true in the world the racist of all kind.
She did a really good job writing it but I did figure out the guilty,
horrible criminals in the middle of the book. I will read her books any day.
This dark powerhouse of a thriller will strain your neck, standing firmly on its own two feet without the questions it raises deep within you and truths it exposes about the reality of gray racism. As this beautiful author will waste no words to reveal to you, it ain't all black and white folks.
If this book was not written by one of my top fave authors, I probably would not have read it. I would've assumed it was a painful and hopeless storyline. What a mistake that would've been on my part.
Bryant and Dawson can't help but feel protective toward their fellow officer Stacey. Treating her more like a little sister, they must come to terms with views they were raised with and may have carried over into their own lives when they hurt the very person they thought they were protecting.
Strong enough to take a look within yourself? Be prepared. This is one I will never forget.
I really can say enough about the Kim Stone series, I love every sleep-deprived moment! She hooks you right from the start and has you running to the end. I loved the split between both cases, she had me racing to the next chapter. Thank you, Angela, for another great installment
